Time flies so fast! I'm 36. it seems like it was just yesterday when I anxiously opened my copy of the Slim Shady Lp, when you were just a little peanut. I grew up in group homes, and your dad helped me through so many dark times. Watching you grow into a beautiful, and intelligent young lady, has been such a privilege, and it warms my heart to see a father and his daughter so close. It almost feels like you're a niece ... Or a baby cousin. You have no idea how many of your dad's fans love and adore you, not only because you're an extension of him, but because we have watched you grow from diapers to now. I'm so proud of you!! You could have just as easily grown into a stuck up yuppie with an ignorant attitude, and a shit personality, and I mean really...who would have said anything about it if you did. Lol, but you DIDN'T!! You're down to earth,witty, even funny, and you carry yourself modestly, and with class, and tact. Any father would be ELATED to have a daughter like you! Sorry for the book Hay, again SO PROUD OF YOU!!! You're killin' it, and I subscribed. It's cool hearing your perspective on things. Just a couple questions. Have you ever found it annoying to be famous, because of who your dad is? How is your mom? Is she okay???? I know they had their battles, and ups n downs I guess I just hope and pray that she is, and are you close with her, like you are your dad? I know those are super personal, so feel free to ignore them, I'm just very curious. Lord, I have a million questions I wanna ask. #StayBlessedGirlie !!!

The tour bus story speaks volumes of Em as a parent. For most parents, if a rap star asked if your 9 yr old little girl could go out of state on their tour bus, answer would be an instant "Hell NO!" They had to have great respect for him as a parent, with full trust he was responsible and having seen he always put the kids first. That says a lot.
@shtickeh9715

@betsybabf748

@@shtickeh9715 No, a parent knows if the other parents have full trust to send their daughter in his care, in that environment, he has shown a long history of being a responsible dad. The point went over your head. It has nothing to do with "letting her come". You may be just young and too busy dick riding rather than gaining life experience and wisdom to have comprehended that upon reading.
@TaraVon
@TaraVon Жыл бұрын
I agree wholeheartedly! For other parents to trust letting their young child go on a rappers tour bus, says a lot about his parenting and him as a father. Em should be proud. He made sure to give his daughter a humble upbringing and he achieved just that! It’s clear to see that has been his main focus all these years. It must be crazy because to Hailie it’s just her “dad”, not this Rap God legend. Seen him in 2019 at the Boston Calling Music Festival and it was literally the highlight of my life, out in the freezing cold pouring rain. Eminem didn’t even take a break for an almost 2 hour show of back to back hits in the rain! Even at his age now, the man has some serious stamina! 💗

I've been a stan of Eminem since day one, I've heard all the reference to you, seen the interviews where he talks about you etc since you was young, so to see you as an adult is insane and to see how good you have been raised is a testament to the great man he is. You appear grounded and humble, nothing at all like other celebrity children. Congratulations on the podcast, I hope it takes off

Honestly, I was born and raised in Michigan and I adore the fact that no matter what trials and tribulations your family had in the end you saw how much your dad wanted to be there for you. Michiganders know that no matter what you decide is your family is, you hang tough and love each other. The shear fact that you didn't become tabloid fodder shows how much genuine love you got and guidance . I admire the lot of you.

I just gotta say, when I think of a rapper's son/daughter, I always automatically expect them to speak the same way and be like a mini-version of their dads or a little off and wacky. I'm so glad she doesn't speak rapper talk (you know what I mean) or try to be hip-hop. Her and her friend are just normal 20 something girls, took school seriously, stayed out of trouble, well put together, down-to-earth. Very refreshing

This will totally be a thing for awhile, a bunch of super fans of your dad flooding the comments, but just wait it out and you'll develop your own following. I imagine its difficult trying to carve your own path when your father is so well known, but you seem very smart, well adjusted, and kind. Just give it time. This is so surreal, in the best way possible, hearing the last quarter-century be described through her eyes. Being able to draw the parallels between how we “know” and love him and how she loves/perceives him makes this so brilliant and satisfying to watch! She’s extremely articulate, intelligent and beautiful. I would say that she has to be his greatest accomplishment, then his music is second. AND This sort of makes me understand what he saw in Kim this whole time…
