2024 Jetour JMK Traveller in-depth Walkaround
Recently unveiled in the latest catalog of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Jetour's JMK Traveller takes off-road SUV capabilities to a hardcore level, building upon the foundation of the existing Traveller model. The JMK Traveller's rugged appearance is characterized by a heightened engine hood, a revamped grille and front bumper design, roof luggage racks, and robust all-terrain tires designed for enhanced traction on non-paved surfaces. Notable off-road specs include a 24° approach angle, a 28° departure angle, and a curb weight of 1934 kg, housed within dimensions of 4782/2036/1960 mm and a 2800 mm wheelbase. For comparison, the current Jetour Traveller in the market measures 4785/2006/1880 mm, maintaining the same wheelbase.
At the rear, the iconic external box design persists, complemented by longitudinal translucent taillights and high-mounted brake lights. Powering the JMK Traveller is a 2.0T engine model SQRF4J20, manufactured by Chery, delivering a maximum power output of 187 kW. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission and an XWD fully automatic intelligent four-wheel-drive system. This advanced system allows for automatic switching of the four-wheel-drive mode based on road conditions, offering automatic rear-wheel torque distribution for optimal performance on diverse terrains. The JMK Traveller stands as a formidable off-road SUV, combining robust design elements with cutting-edge technology for a thrilling driving experience.
