@@JustHandmade love this tutorial! If I’m using the blue resin tape with open backed pendants, do I need to glue the pendants to the tape before filling with resin as I’ve seen some others do?

@@joyelleforjesus Sorry, I think I didn't make myself clear. I stick the open bezels on a regular adhesive tape (like in the tutorial), the adhesive tape is enough for the open bezels, so the resin don't flow. I don't use any other glue. I get some tape left on the back and have used many products to get it off, but nothing g works. What do you suggest? Xx

Sanitary alcohol, concentration at least 70%. If this doesn't work, you can try with nail polish remover. Hope this was helpful!

not much of a flower guy, but when it comes to tiny flowers in resin and bezels then it is fascinating also that resin ur using is it also a 24 hour curing wait? in ur experience would you recommend UV Resin or Epoxy Resin for these types of projects? TY

Yes indeed, I also love open bezels jewelry with epoxy resin. I didn't work so far with UV resin. I'm working with Crystal Resin - Gedeo (from Pebeo) and it is very good. You need to wait between12 - 24 hours (12 hours if you work with layers) to dry. Hope this was helpful!

I was using uv resin and I find it is not great for glass like finish. Just started using epoxy resin and it's beautiful 😍

@@bevmutch4310 LoL, yup also used UV Resin and thought I would not really use Epoxy Resin, although I had bought a Box of Amazing Clear cast, only thing that one has strong order and can get Rather bubbley, but the results are great, hard, and clear and I am a beginner so I had a couple pieces not to hard like a bit rubbery, not all and some nice and hard as rich and nice, but yes I now rather use Epoxy Resin, hope you make lots of beautiful pieces of Art the best to you Bev

Hey, If you were to add rhinestones to either open back or closed back bezels, at what point would you add them. Would you add them the first layer of resin round or once cured add them when you add the second layer of resin? Also whenever you add them, do you cover them completely with the resin or work around them?

It depends on the look you want to have the jewelry, you can add the rhinestones in the first layer of epoxy resin, and you can cover them completely (like in this tutorial: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iJOaZNWHz57RpoE.html), or you can add them at the end, if you want a 3D effect (like in this tutorial: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oK-bgNiWyp65e3k.html). These syringes are from Panadol children's syrup; I glued 'A' and 'B' labels on them, so I wouldn't mix them up.

Thanks! How long you let the resin set between the layers? Do you have problem with bubbles? I started with making resin jewellery, but i had a lot of tiny bubbles trapped in the resin. I tried every thing and after i watched your yesterday i ordered the same resin that you use :)

Great! It is a very good resin. As an advice I recommend you to don't mix a big cantity of resin, after 30-40 minutes it becomes harder to work with it. For the bubbles you can use the heat tool gun (I have one from Papermania), it works great. Between the layers I let the resin dry almost 12 hours, but for the jewellery that I don't make in layers, such as spheres, I let them dry for 24-48 hours. Hope this was helpful!

I'm using regular adhesive tape. If the back of the resin jewelry remains sticky after you take away the adhesive tape you can wipe it with some sanitary alcohol or with wet napkins. There is also an adhesive tape especially for resin (I know I saw it on Aliexpress). Hope this was helpful!

Yes, and a respirator mask designed to filter out organic vapours, not a dust mask. I'm in the UK and use a GVS Elipse A1-P3 mask, available here from Screwfix and other suppliers

Behind any tutorial there are hours of work and editing videos.. everyone is free to watch the tutorials that inspire them. I believe I don't have to use my voice to make a step by step tutorial. Anyway, I use bio resin and I work carefully so I never get resin on my hands.
