Alito comes in 2nd at right around 200k in 20 years. 3rd is Roberts at around 60k in 20 years. I noticed you also used Justices no longer serving who were only democrat so lets dig into that. So lets compare 2. Ginsberg was around 60k in 20 years. Scalia was 180k. I think you need to consider the source of what you are spreading friend because its clear you are targeting those 2 based on your political bias without addressing the actual ELEPHANTS in the room. Carrie Severino, who clerked for Justice Thomas, said that the Supreme Court has a "code of ethics". Then Severino says that "They're not above the law, but they are bound by the same recusal guidelines as any other federal judge. And those are federal guidelines." So, how is this "code of ethics" enforced? By each justice's personal integrity?? And why haven't several Supreme Court Justices followed the federal guidelines on recusal? Who gets to oversee that process? And what are the repercussions for not following the guidelines??? Are we, the citizens of the USA, just supposed to believe that when cases come before the court that are in direct opposition to what ideals some justices have publicly announced, that these justices don't have to follow the same rules for recusal as any other judge? Then how can anyone think or say these justices are not above the law?

Since Justice Thomas is clearly not disclosing any of these gifts until after they are revealed by journalists, surely it is time for the IRS to do an investigation of his finances, see what else he has received not yet disclosed and how much tax he is due to pay on all these gifts and benefits. This would be an embarrassment to the Supreme Court of course but it would show that the IRS is not complicit in tax evasion so that would certainly be worthwhile. While such an investigation is going on, of course the correct action for Justice Thomas to take would be to stand down temporarily from his position. If it turns out that his taxes have not been properly declared then the DOJ would have to follow up on that naturally and take whatever action is mandatory for any citizen.

If so, and there is reason, then of course it should be of concern to everyone and be investigated. But aside from being a weak whataboutism, there is nothing to suggest that there can't be more than one investigation at one time if required.
