Considering Darkseid regularly beats Superman it makes sense that Orion has the stuff to pummel Zod. Plus Orion is like thousands of years old with a TON of combat experience. Even when he’s in full rage mode he’s not just attacking,he’s using technique and even submission holds. Zod is very young and has likely never had a real challenge before this too

1:45 this, it’s just so beautiful that it makes me ugly cry every time, her coming to know that she can’t understand someone else’s invisible struggle, but can grasp the turmoil they go through every moment just to exist, I’ve never felt so close to be understood. One critique I have for this show is the way it feels the need to spell everything out for you. The robot ring voice saying in the bluntest terms possible that he only has enough Willpower to do one or the other is an excellent example. Show, don't tell!

As we saw, Tomar-Re couldn't avert his concentration. The funnel itself was taking such concentration that using a shield on his back was breaking his funnel construct. So he couldn't even divert his attention even a little to dodge the laser beams.

Green Lantern dying is a convenient plot hole. Because the Cascade was 91% complete. I believe he could have held the shield and the funnel to completion, despite what the ring said. Or hey let's fly around so dude can't hit me with heat vision anymore. Don't be a stationary target.

I think you are armchair coaching, something you know nothing about. 9% of that inferno would still be enough to kill countless lives. The Ring is a supercomputer and would be quite accurate in determing how much will power would be required. Frankly that massive funnell would take a lot of effort and willpower which is why it said he can not do two things. Also you try working on something while also being required to dodge something. It is not easy. If anything, he would be more likely to lose his concentration and have his construct fade completely.

As evidenced by this clip, a stationary target is a de.ad one. That in itself tells me he wasn't a very good or experienced GL. And if he doesn't have the willpower to muster up a shield AND a funnel well, I stand by my comment.

@@5H4D0W-TP you must watching a different show then. Maybe hit your head as many times as Orion did Lor. Lor only managed to get one hysterical punch in long enough to stun Orion for a few seconds and escape, AFTER watching his whole future disapear with the destruction of the projector.
