Ya, showing Doomsday meant when we thought we were getting BvS, we then knew we were really getting B&S vs Doomsday. We currently believe we're getting JL vs Darkseid's Forces... so showing Steppenwolf changes nothing.

And the movie acted like Doomsday was this big suprise.

The funny part is how Superman supposedly made people see the best parts of themselves apparently includes making Batman want to murder him. A Superman who tells people things like "no one stays good in this world" with a sad look isn't what I'd call a hope give either. But hey, if they want to retcon Superman into not having been the gloomy guy in the previous movie I'm all in for that.

Batman initially sees Superman as a threat to the world. This is in keeping with the comics with a character who not only stockpiles Kryptonite in the Batcave, but makes contingency plans to defeat other members of the Justice League. Creating a better Batman from that involves taking him down to his lowest point where he'd see no other way but to end the threat before it consumes the world. Seeing Superman make a different choice and sacrifice his own life to save the world is what finally vindicates Batman's forgotten rule to never kill- which was the best, most noble part of being Batman. After witnessing Superman's example, the changed Batman can't even bring himself to brand Lex, the one character who probably deserved it. Superman tells Lois "no one stays good in this world", because generalizing the entire world as "good" despite its moral complexities, blinds him to the evils and threats that can occur. Yet he is capable of hoping again when he realizes he doesn't need to see every single person in the world as good to keep his faith in humanity. The goodness of a single person is enough. I would prefer Supergirl joins with (and whomever Robin from 1980s cartoon where Robin lives?) to complete a DCEU circle of additional favorite superheroes returns! I guess it may be okay "either ... or" but new heroes and heroines need their moments of DC glory or else the Batman comics of yesteryear were senselessly written just to be "central only morals" built around only one character or just a few superhero characters!

Murphdog Entertainment ... It did not! I didn't know it was more than a Batman V Superman situation (even though Wonder woman joined in)! I thought the presence of an all powerful "female or heroine" would end the battle conflicts of Batman or Superman and did not know they would have ended it where Superman potentially dies at the end (but by other means too even if someone spoils it telling Superman dies)! I thought to and reflected at all the "man vs god" moments all movie long ... and that is what made it one of my favorite comic book adaptations to the "big screen" movies ever made!

That isn't an unwarranted concern. They have a fine line to walk with the introduction of 3 new major characters. I think they are more aware of that this time around. I think the Flash may get the short end though. Cyborg is clearly going to be central to the plot and we've seen a lot from Aquaman. Flash looks to be set up as really green and inexperienced, which could be the way the flesh him out.

The only one who I'm kind of iffy on is Cyborg.

I agree with you. There're done with introducing the trinity and now they need to find the balance of introducing Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash without wasting the first 1 hour of the movie to introduce these new characters. They should do it the way Wonder Woman was introduced in BVS; and maybe towards the end of the movie market these 3 characters' stand alone story. I hope they won't pull another suicide squad

At first i thought it was sups too, but i went back and looked at it and that's a red cape with a bare leg in a boot. Last time i checked Superman's costume is full length whilst Super girl's is traditionally a short skirt or even body suit with Power Girl and a knee or thigh length boot which is what we saw in this trailer.

Had the same thought. Though Supergirl wear skirt in comic, in injustice she has blue suit and red cape, so that could be her.

The music in the trailer seems to be redone version of the main theme for Green Lantern(First Flight) animated movie by Robert Kral. I have to wonder if Danny Elfman is going to do a variation of that for the movie.
