As a young black woman without political loyalties I can say that I view Justice Thomas as one of the greatest men in the world. Not because he's black, not because he's conservative. Because he is truly an honorable man of God. If the Supreme Court had 9 Justice Thomas's our country would be in truly great hands. He believes in God and the constitution and no more could ever be asked of anyone. Thank You Sir for your service to our country and thank you to Justice Scalia who was a great man. God Speed.

I agree 100%. Just learning more about Justice Thomas's life. I am an African American female, and it out rages me to see the negative propaganda around Justice Thomas's life. I'm now old enough and wise enough to be my own judge of character. What I see in Clarence Thomas is integrity, intellect, righteousness, and one who wants justice for all. So glad I can think for myself! Never again to be led by myths and the masses.
@harrisonbrand89855 жыл бұрын
proposing that having 9 justice thomas’s would be great for this country is absurd. 9 people who share the exact same opinion on the highest court in the land??? 9 people who represent only a minority of us citizen’s interests? 9 people who would only actually speak during oral arguments once every decade?? that’s not what the supreme court is for, and that’s not united states government.

So strange that Justice Thomas didn't speak in the Supreme Court until Justice Scalia passed. Wonder why....
@nateo2007 жыл бұрын
He has talked about how he doesn't like the court being a "hot bench" as some have put it.....that is constant questions...he wants advocates before the court to be able to present their arguments and then Justices may ask questions....see "Justice Thomas visits Harvard Law School" its a 2013 video. I think after Scalia passed he realized he had to pick up some of the slack. They both have very similar views on interpreting the constitution. Arguably the closest conservative minds in our Judiciary for some time.
@josiahjohnson18337 жыл бұрын
Because they had relatively similar legal philosophies that often led to the same questions and Scalia was much more talkative in general. If you are pedaling that stupid old argument that he was Scalia's puppet, then you clearly know nothing. I doubt you've even read a Supreme Court case if that's what you are trying to say. Thomas swayed Scalia all the time in the nineties, and you'd know that if you formed your own opinions on the Justice rather than just listening to what you hear on TV
