I would recommend to anyone that they look up Paul McKenna's videos here on KZfaq about Havening. He's been teaching it for many years after learning it from the originator of the therapeutic technique, Dr Ronald Ruden, who created it more than 30 years ago. Lots of people have adapted it to their own needs since. It's fascinating, and I have found it massively effective myself.

This was perfect timing. I’m working at a new technical job and today I have a phone call with my very first client. Am I anxious? Big time! I think this video was sent to me with perfect timing because I’ve been practicing this and I feel so much better. Thank you

I needed to watch this since I’m in my last days of working a part time job (I’m starting a full time job in a few weeks) and most days I get home and I’m so stressed and tired that I can’t do anything for a few hours after I’m done (but usually that’s when it’s time for bed). I even got stressed out last night and had a hard time calming myself during that transitional time where you’re trying to relax after work but didn’t get a chance to… I’m not a fan of Justin Bieber, but, as someone on the Autism Spectrum, a lot of his soothing techniques to try to calm yourself in highly sensory and stressful environments (both internal and external) are very familiar to me. I just need to practice more of them myself! I definitely want to check out your Cues book since I think that’ll be very helpful for my new full time role I’m prepping for!!

If anyone is emotional then close your right side nostril and from left nostril you take breathe and release it. Spend 10 minutes for this excercise. Right side Surya Nadi and left side is a Chandra naadi.

Wow there is something different about you Vanessa. Your presentations are showing a refined aspect of your research and how you relay it. You seem comfortable in your own skin. You are projecting a soothing vibe that I just can't figure out how your doing it. I think it is a combination of tone, pitch, timing, relaxed smile, comforting words, and something else. I think it is that you are happy or perhaps feeling secure, yeah I think your feeling secure and it is coming out in you projecting a vibe of security. Ah, what do I know I am probably just over analyzing. Well I hope your feeling happy and secure.

Take a deep breathe and release it slowly slowly and pay attention to your breathe. It soothes your muscles and body relaxation. He must do meditation daily.

7:42 Stress Hormones aldosterone and cortisol would be responsible for this. If the doctor could check them. Then him and us would see that his levels are higher than normal. No matter how you rationalize. You/prefrontal cortex (PFC) can never convince your subconscious/amygdala through rational thought. You must do it with one or more of the five senses. Or through visualization/imagination (The 6th sense.) I hope this helps :-)

I think body contact is good. I like them. But living in Japan (or other East Asian countries) I don’t think it could easily applied. Here co-workers rarely touch each other as a greeting. We don’t handshakes. Even friends rarely give each others a hug. If you insist, I think they will feel uncomfortable. Well, at least they could do that with their partner.

@@laurenprimacio4898 oh idk, any service member thats had boots on ground? If you want specific, id recommend a Vietnam vet, ww2 vet, or a fmf corpsman thats shoved a tampon in a bullet hole or kept a soldier alive that has lost their leg but is still alive. You can go any sports athlete, olympian possably. A businessmen that has gotten his company to the fortune 500 level. How about a joe shmoe firefighter, smoke jumpers specifically. Might sound deuchey but im approaching with an open mind. I personally think beiber is a pathetic lil pos. Ive seen him do nothing more then sing and be useless. Why beiber for you?

@@thatonedude2847 i think the idea of the video is less about bieber and more about ways to alleviate pressure in high stress situations. i think bieber just happens to have reputable resources to share as far as self soothing goes. plus they're easy, science based, and practical methods to help with high stress. bieber is well known and has a docuseries out so maybe that's why he was picked? i don't think the decision in choosing bieber was too deep i think he just happened to have pockets within the docuseries where he talked about self soothing methods that intrigued vanessa (just a theory!)
