My fave song of hers I think is "Pyar Ke Liya Char Pal" IMO. But you should listen to the lyrical version. The uploaded film versions have bad sound quality (That I've seen). alka recently did an interview and she said that she has no clue how many songs she sang. the interviewer and her were laughing about how disparate the figures online are... Some places say 4000, some say 8000, all the way to 20,000 lmao. No one knows at the end of the day (my guess is somewhere between 8k and 12k??). She was the voice for pretty much all of Hindi cinema from 90s to early 2000s... and then you have to add in whatever private album songs she did, devotional songs, and songs for the other film industries in India besides hindi.
