10:03 - I think that they were too stunned because this was unbelievable from their perspective. It's not a secret that KPOP acts lipsynch or use very loud backing tracks with the excuse that they are dancing heavy choreographies. And there, SB19 sang with little to no backing track, with live vocals all through out, no autotune, no lip synching, still while dancing to heavy choreographies. This was unheard of in KPOP world. Well, not in PPOP, where vocals is the top priority.

SB19 is Philippines pride! They are vocal monsters,no doubt about that. Because if they were not, the Filipinos are not going to support them and would criticized them if they are just faking it. Here in Philippines, if an artist is faking their music, doing lypsinc, or uses any machines that would make your voice sounds good...that is a shame and no one will ever idolized such singers. We will let it pass if you are an actor or actress... but if you are a singer you better sings well to get everyone's approval. SB19 has proven their talents, in their live performances...with or with out music background or even without microphone, they could sing and make it sounds better anytime.

I think those reactionless artists were actually shookt lol. SB19 are ‘live monsters’ so we can’t blame them. 😆 Anyway, thank you for your rv Justin! It’s always heart-warming to see our boys being appreciated like this. ❤️

Don't you worry, Pablo knows the technicalities and disciplines of his voice, i believe he knows when to rest his voice, it is shown in their vlogs where he tells his co members to do the adlibs for the hyping to rest his voice especially during their tour, but this is their comeback performance after the conflict with their previous company, they've got to show power, hyping, it really does bring a lot of confidence in the performance and hype to the viewers/listeners

The people at the table are KPop idols and Korean actors. In fairness, some KPop groups were vibing to the performance. The most popular among them Stray Kids truly appreciated SB19's performance--standing up, clapping, dancing. Some could be..shocked? The intensity, high notes and live vocals while dancing full choreo are not what they expected from a Philippines or even SouthEast Asian performer. They probably thought Gento was just some dance challenge on TikTok. 😁

They're singing live, their mics were on all the time. They were really impressive, aren't they? Maybe you just didn't notice but all the members of Straykids were all hyping and dancing with Gento, so does the sub unit of Seventeen as well as Nu Jeans. What's more amazing was that SB19 and &Team practiced the dance virtually for a month and they only came together the night before, and yet they were very synchronized. Btw, SB19 won the Hot Trend Artist award and the Best Artist Award (Singer), the first and only Filipinos to win it. I am so proud of them!

I swear they ARE better LIVE I was screaming when they came out they were the best hype men. They definitely ATE the stage that night cause everyone was screamingg their name

Love your reaction to #SB19! They ARE singing live and only have very minimal backtrack for some parts. They always sing Live and never lipsync. As someone who listens to their songs every single day, it's really obvious when they do these adlibs during live performances that are subtle but will let you know that it's a real Live performance. Love that you pointed out how great they are, that they can still sing that beautifully even when they're dancing those killer moves of theirs. Also, with Pablo's grit and coming on it "hard", he actually has that tendency, as the boys know and mentioned in one of their vlogs, that he's the one most likely to lose his voice after a show and overdo it in a live performance, esp when he's being carried away by the performance.

Agree on that "insecurity"thing. Appreciation of other talents goes a long way

I have to agree to your observation regarding KPOP artist who showed underwhelming reaction like the performance what just so amd so while in fact, SB19 showed them all how real performance is done. Vocal and stage presence, they literally ate the entire program and didn't even leave crumbs. Every performer after them was just either lip syncing and sound the same. Same old boring monotonous. I used to like Kpop a lot but now, after SB19, I realised i was listening to mediocre for such a long time. Sb19 is really the standard. They raise the bar so high for me now that i can no longer go back listening to sub par.

I do have to correct you though, some of the biggest KPop groups did react to SB 19’s performance, some were dancing, some were nodding their heads, some jaws were just hanging open as this may have been their first time watching the guys live performance. Hello Justin, thanks for your appreciation of Filipino musical talent. Being a vocal coach and talent yourself, I definitely agree on your opinion and reaction. Those other artists who didn't even react, I guess, were totally insecure. Or maybe they're used to boy group whose members don't display those kinds of talents, because I know that dancing is more important especially to KPop groups. They don't invest in pure vocal talent because their companies knew that there are so many ways to resolve it, there are backtracks, split mics, etcetera. 😊

Oh I wish our SB19 Boys will watch this RV. I had so much fun and learned a lot from this reaction. I’m sure they will too. I do believe they do put a little back track to some parts like the chorus where the lyrics is repetitive and they tend to focus in dancing and they just sang on top with adlibs.

Hi! a LUNÉ here! a fan of &Team, I hope you can react to them as well, they have good vocals! My recommendation for live vocals is their performance on The First Take for Dropkick and Under The Skin and their SBS Gayo Daejeon performance of Firework. A bit of background: &Team (andTeam) is a multinational group from Hybe Labels Japan, they are both jpop and kpop. 6 Japanese, 1 Japanese-German, 1 Taiwanese and 1 Korean, making a 9 member all rounder group. They are a 1yr old group, so far released 2 mini albums and 1 full album. My song recommendations for vocal reactions are, Under the Skin, Firework, Blind Love, Dropkick, Really Crazy and War Cry.

No backtracks whatsoever. SB19 prides themselves on shunning backtracks. If you were referring to Stell’s adlib towards the end before the dance break, it’s all Stell. Live mics, live vocals in every single performance.

Awesome that SB19 is the opening number for Asia’s Artists Awards, this is live, not like most of the other performers for this show. Their voices are live, lip-syncing is a no no in the Philippines! Thank you so much for supporting these multitalented young men. Love the collab with &TEAM; J-Pop. Bento became #1 in Japan so, it’s only fitting for them to do this collaboration. This performance blew the roof off at the Philippine Arena which is the biggest indoor arena in the world with 50 - 55 capacity.🤔🧐🔥🔥🔥

To be fair, the kpop audience was enjoying SB19. No backtracking on SB19'S performance. They used a backtracking behind Kens voice at 4:13. You can hear both Ken's live vocals and the original vocals of the backtrack. I think some backtracking were used with the course at the end of the Gento but it was SB19's live vocals up front. So nothing to worry about, SB19 go strong on live performances. Btw, there is a vid on reactions of the artists as SB19 performed. It's all positive. Thanks so much. Hated that you had to edit, but we understand copyrights, timing, and everything. Great analysis. 🤩✌️ I'm just amazed SB19'S voices dont burn out with all the grunting, low notes, and high notes. But they are pros and knows how to do those warmups before each performance. There are vids on some of their warmups. Hopefully you get to React to them sometimes. 🙏❤
