He honestly looks like what he is and that is a great college QB. You can't ALWAYS wait for guys to be "open" in the NFL, you just can't. His pocket presense or awareness is just awful and I don't care what anyone says, no amount of coaching can fix that, you either have it or you don't. He will go to another team and have some nice highlight plays but he is who he is and that is a QB who can't play from the pocket consistentaly enough to be a franchise QB, and no you can't just roll him out all the time and make the defenses job that much easier by cutting the field in half basically. Pocket presence and awareness is awful? 😂 how do you think he evades so much would be sacks , half the time he gets sacked is a line melt down or more often coverage sacks. He is actually pretty good in the pass with decent pocket time , fields is a vertical passer not a hitch and out route QB which Getsy failed to understand.

1 interception was a bad call by officials happened on a end of first half Hail Mary and the Browns corner did hold on to it. And it’s important to keep in mind Fields also missed 4 games this season

This is his best season so far and his production is getting better every year he also missed 4 games so that’s huge if they keep him they could have a bright future and he could be a pro bowler in 3 years max keep him and give him time

He also could've thrown for 3500 of he didn't have 3 games were he couldn't reach 200 yards and 2 games of under 100. He had only ONE 300 yard game all year and only 3 games were he cracked 250. 4 games wouldn't have gotten him 1000 yards

4 on hail marys, actually. 2 during the Browns game and 2 in earlier games this season. So in reality, he has 16 TDs to 5 legit INTs in 13 games. He finished the season with 2500 passing yards and 600 rush yards. With his averages per game, if he stayed healthy and played all 17 games, he would've finished the season with 3300+ pass yards and 800+ rush yards with around 24 passing TDs and 8 rushing TDs. Again, that's based off of his per-game averages. That's a really good season, especially for a QB of a Bears team that wasn't good for most of the year.

If hail mary interceptions don't count, neither should any of his other hail mary passes that got him plenty of yards.@@MFBloosh

Those are terrible stats what's are you talking about and he only had 4 rushing tds. 20 overall tds. For instance Desmond ridder played the exact same amount of games às Justin Fields and ridder had 2,800 yards 17 total tds (3 less then Fields) 12 passing 5 rushing.

fields lack of pocket awareness should scare you. Idk whos the QB coach but my god he should be banned from coaching football at any level. their #1 priority should be to improve his pass drop back footwork because its so slow, inconsistent every time and clumsy.
