Justin was smart to ask Nina to do this interview; he needed this, we needed this... the questioning his blackness is something I was wondering too, cuz I see Nina's blackness or moreso her authenticity right away and that is not easy in this space especially for a (gay) black male.

Justin Sylvester and Nina are my two favorite hosts. I watched this during my break at work and my coworkers were like “why are you crying?”. I love Justin exactly for who he is. So real and honest. No one tells it like it is like the ladysitter and when he sits on the table with a guest or the other cohosts he just lights up the room. Also, love his shady faces. Like Miss Wendy says “He is a friend in my head.” Nina, what can I say? She is the older sister that gives you tough love and you know she right. Their commentaries and interviews are the finest. I have a couple of questions E-News: 1) What do we have to do to have more of Just the Sip? This show is like everything. It’s up their with Red Table Talk. It needs more budget to make it everything and more. Don’t oversee this opportunity with such an amazing talent as Mr. Sylvester. 2) Where can we get Just the Sip Merchandise? 3) Can you have Wendy Williams on? I mean that would be the sip. Also Billy Porter, Britney, and Mariah. Just saying. 🍸🍹🍾🥃🍻

I’m watching this again. As a gay puertorican man I needed to hear this more than one. Thank you Justin. You have no idea how many hearts you have touched and for all of us lgbtqia+ poc you are an example of what success looks like in the entertainment industry. How many black gay professionals are out there covering entertainment news? Think about it. I only know of Justin, Emill, Scott, Jason, and forgive if I am leaving any others out but that is only a handful. We have a long way to go but people like Justin are representing and breaking down barriers for us all. Gracias. 🙏🏻

I was always blown away when watching DP and a Justin would be sitting there with a little smirk on his face whilst listening to everyone else’s POV and then Justin would just step in with a completely different view which made so much sense and now you know where all this knowledge came from. Wow! What an honest episode. I loved how candid it was and both the interviewee and the interviewer were perfection. Thank you, Justin for sharing such an intimate part of yourself with us when you didn’t have to. I’m sure it really helped a lot of people to be themselves when they feel safe to do so, and for others it let them know it’s okay to support people openly for who they are.
