I just watched the movie. Its one of the greatest movies from Disney i have ever watched. You will laugh, cry and be real emotional. I loved it❤️❤️❤️

So excited for this movie,I loved the original..Lady is one of my top favorite Disney characters,I have a small collection of plush I love her so much..I think because of this movie I'll try the Disney streaming service :)

Why do dogs disappear from nowhere?

Whitewashing the past takes away from the forbidden element of the original. Original time period of roughly 1910 ish was strict class, strict race, strict blue/white collar divide. That's what makes it interesting Lady (pure bred, rich, elite class) falls for the Tramp, (poor, mixed, working class). While I get why they eliminated the siamese cat thing in favor or other more general anti cat song and like they cast minorities for all period appropriate roles (dog catcher, shop owners) I can't agree with pretending the white husband is a struggling musician with that elite house and that they would be allowed to live in that neighborhood if they were a mixed race couple. In fact, I dont knownthe exclact place this is set but most of the us forbade interracial marriage until many many years later. It would have taken nothing away from wokeness to somehow address that instead of casting the marriage as interracial.

When it comes to Disney’s live adaptations, they’ve almost all been flops. HOWEVER, they absolutely nailed it with Lady and the Tramp and Cinderella (2015). So much nostalgia and romance, it’s their own takes but still so faithful
