There are fretboard blazers out there. There are smooth melodicists who can tug at your heart. There are a legions of wood choppers who shun any attempt at finessing a guitar’s capabilities. Then there’s Mr. Johnson - the guitar becomes an organic extension of him. His is one of the most impressive displays of musical expression I’ve ever witnessed.

Man, JJ I've been listing IDK how many yrs. it's been. It was back before U showed all of us hillbillies that we could make guitfiddles out of cigar boxes & D handle shovels! And U would play sweet slider music and some funky blues too! Hittn on a Mason jar of some good ole apple shine, kicked back & listen to U play those funky blues❤😅 Love Em Man❤ Right On JJ!! I’m so grateful to JJ for changing my life in such a positive way about 27 months ago when I purchased my 3 string shovel guitar. I have finally made it to Delta Blues on the instructional DVD and almost have it down after only really starting to work on it yesterday afternoon. In the army, they investigated me, because the intelligence is changing, they told me to play a Spanish game of chess, because I only play flamenco on the guitar, and only blues on the guitar, because I used to play chess in some Florida or Arizona. I liked the good instruments, I buy them all and give them to my goddaughter. A-10

Played the Box of Wood and Wire for 64 years, and while not quite at yourlevel of execution, I was pretty salty. THEN a minor stroke took the function of my left hand. So now I am in search of "my favorite" guitarist to listen to the rest of my days. You are it I believe. Wonderful slide work! Flawless! KEEP IT UP my friedn!

MS took away my ability to perform as a singer, as well as any guitar playing I'd learned to do. I now live vicariously through other musicians. Justin is one of my favorite guitarists to listen to while I read every Sunday.

Anyone else remember the days when you'd take the new LP home from the record shop and listen to find your favourite tracks? If you were lucky there'd be at least one that would make you really sit up and take notice and no more than one which was a bit "meh". Approach this video like an LP and it's an absolute corker. Not a single dud. And I have no idea what you're up to in the Robert Johnson one. Did you sprout invisible extra fingers and stretch space-time? How can you fit those notes in and still sound like there's room for more but you've chosen to leave them out? Mastery is always inspring to behold. Thank you, sir.
