Harry Potter at Universal Orlando! Taking the boy to see E.T., Diagon Alley, & Hogwart's Express!

E.T., Diagon Alley, & Hogwart's Express at Universal Orlando! We've decided to leave Disney World just for one day and head to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, by way of Universal Studios Florida and the Islands of Adventure Park! And of course the link between them, that magical train, Hogwart's Express! Although I'm way behind in the Harry Potter department, London is loving the books and movies and was STOKED to come see Harry Potter's world, even though he's got a cold AND it's 90% humidity and 100 degrees outside, nothing was going to stop him and that magic wand from exploring Diagon Alley!

If London loves Harry Potter, you have to try and get him the Harry Potter Studio tour in the UK. I took my son back it June. It was AWESOME. No rides, but it was so cool to see the real sets, wardrobe, props, etc.

Erin Lee Or come back to Orlando in January, if possible....near the end of the month they have the Harry Potter Weekend...there they have some props, costumes, graphics and displays from the movies, and a plus-you may meet some of the stars of the movies!💗

I remember when they had the E.T ride here in SoCal. When E.T said my dad's name I was mindblown and scared cause I thought he was real.

I've only been to Universal Orlando once, and I feel like I've only really scratched the surface of the place. That moment of stepping into Diagon Alley is pure magic, the most intense feeling of immersion in a fantasy world that I've had at a theme park. They out-Disneyed Disney there.

I went to Universal Studios Orlando for Christmas last year, and when I walked into Diagon Alley, I had the exact same reaction as London did. Universal Studios has done an amazing job with their theme park

Thank you for sharing your ET journey. Through a different youtuber I've seen the ending scene of ET several times, but I've never seen how amazing the queue line is or the ride vehicles or any of that really amazing beginning, city, or traveling through space scenes. Makes me actually want to go to Universal now.

I wish we could go back there together for spring break next year I can show you guys a lot more of Harry Potter. I recently went down there last month and I finally rode Escape from Gringotts and it was amazing. I'm also aware with some secret spells around Diagon Alley. And I'm glad y'all had a great time.

Lol, I felt like Ally was hiding extremely well until you went to Diagon Alley then I saw her very clearly. It wouldn't be a family trip without Ally and your son. :)Yeah, its a huge pain in the butt that Universal enforces utilizing the lockers, especially at Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket and The Incredible Hulk. Did you ever buy a butter beer while you were there, I am assuming so. They are $7.46 currently which is $2 higher than they were in the past year or two. I have been a Universal Orlando Annual Pass-holder since 2015, I love it, I don't go much anymore now that I work for Disney but I enjoy visiting from time to time. :) I plan on getting one more annual pass before I move to Kentucky next summer.

I might have a similar reaction as London when I finally get to Diagon Alley in October...except I know I'm going to cry! Had to skip the train ride footage because I don't want spoilers. And...those spells are so not just for kids - you bet your butt I'm gonna be buying my own interactive wand and doing them spells too!! P.S. Knockturn alley appears in the second (Chamber of Secrets) and the 6th (Half Blood Prince) movies.

My issue with Universal is that nearly every new ride is a front screen projection ride; mainly because they're cheaper and require less maintenance. There's very little animatronics and pretty much all of the rides follow the same front screen projection style. There's no variety amongst the rides. The good ol' days of Jaws, King Kong, and Disaster! are long gone.
