I just did the lens swap...and holy shit was that ever tight to thread on! The first 2 rotations were easy, then it got progressively tighter. Getting in on far enough to be focused was really tight! I took it apart again and saw no issues with the threads. I think the tolerances were off somewhere. I had to use a wrench to hold the square sensor, and CAREFULLY tighten it, and taking care to not damage the ribbon. Definite improvement in image though. The lens I used was the one from the banggood link above.

The video is great and awesome . Could ask you that after you remove the primary hardware (the len camera , battery and the circuit) from the plastic case and LED bulbs , what is the weigh of the primary hardware ?

Help needed: mine has a purple tint on video propably picks up IR or UV, opened lens nothing loose. Does the new Lens have ir filter? Any easy fix thangs in advance

Hello! Great contribution, my congratulations. I have two questions: 1. To change the lens, I simply have to open the camera, unscrew a lens and screw the new one? Is that in the Banggood page comes with a new lens support, so I guess this will not be necessary. 2. As a user previously asked, is it possible to reinsert the camera into its original housing after making the mod? A greeting and I wait for your answer. Thank you.

Hey, yea you dont need to Change the Lens Support. Just screw it in and focus it via the webcam feature. Simple as that. So the 1.8mm lenses are shorter than the Stock one and also a tiny bit wider in the Front. Without a bit of modification this mod will not fit into the original housing.

Why the aurorecord just starts with 220V-USB and not with 12V-USB? No Car Adapter. No up or down to 5V Board. No powerbank. Only on 220V-USB and PC-USB.

Would it be possible to remove the battery and try to power it from the quad? I wonder just how much the power draw is and if it could be powered off a 3.3v source from the FC or something like that. My guess is that it could handle the 0.4v difference (since it wants 3.7v), but I'm not sure if the mA draw would be too much. Have you tried this?

I did.. works great on my Leader-120. Just hooked it up in to 5v on the FC.

power consume is 150mah @3.7v, you safe around 3.5 gr without battery

On the board there are 3 buttons, but on the case there are only 2. What did the 3rd button by the USB port do?

Manual says reset button. What it resets it doesnt say, but i think if the camera has a problem, freezes ect then use the reset.

I bought it now and there are 4 screws inside which holds pcb to the box and the lens has a drop of superglue on.

The screws shouldnt be a Problem. The glue is new. Mine had none at the time I bought it

Ruxys havent really tried it. The lens ist a bit shorter than the Stock one so maybe you need to mod the case

Justixmodder ah you think it will get in the picture? But do you really need the upgraded fov? It says that it already has 155 deg fov, which is the same as gopro
