Not sure what schools these guys attended but my school never would have allowed 99% of these dresses. And my prom was just a bunch of stuffy rich kids competing for best outfit and taking selfies. No dancing. Shit music. The prom before mine was way more fun. You just never know what bag you're going to pull from. But it is definitely not a night I'd necessarily want to repeat. It was.....boring.

I didn't go to my prom. My friends and I drove to the beach. We played games, rode jet skis and had a campfire. Then we partied on my uncle's boat. It was way more fun than a highschool gymnasium.

I've been out of high school for over 40 years but I had to watch this. All these adorable people dressed in their fantastic prom outfits and gowns and tux and stuff are so delightful. A night where almost everybody's glad to be alive.

I went to prom in 1966 - last century. There is no way we would hav ben allowed to wear most of those dresses. Not to mention th cost of those gowns. And, we went in a 1957 Ford. Seems so old fashioned compared to now.

My prom was in ‘72. “Stairway to Heaven” was the theme. I wore a demure, lavender gown, while most of my classmates wore slinky halter dresses. Story of my life.

Class of ‘83 and I’m doing the same! The first one was my absolute favorite! A couple looked like bedroom wear (as in where were their moms)?? A couple looked like wedding dresses (you will want to make that day just as special)! Most were gorgeous!!

If it helps, they likely had everything professionally done. A lot of girls are super talented but most get out done by a professional. I was not proficient in hair or makeup. Still am not. And that's totally cool :) we got that clean girl vibe

I had my pretty prom last month (4th July, UK) and I had 4:14 dress just a midnight blue and WAY more sparkly, there was glitter everywhere I went lol 😂

If you don’t know what style of dress, then try on lots of options like a slim fitting one, a full skirt, a mermaid (that’s what I had) and even a short one if that’s want to (You can also go on Pinterest and type in different dress styles and see what you like but don’t disregard anything, I hate mermaid dresses on me but that’s what I chose cos it just felt right when I put it on) 2. I’m insecure about curtain parts of my body (I have a pretty flat bum) so I would say to find a dress that makes you feel comfortable as well as beautiful 3. Try on a lot of colours and see what fits your skin tone, I’m extremely pale so yellows, pale pinks and reds wash me out 4. Don’t listen to your parents, find a dress that you want! You can obviously take their advice but in the end chose a dress that you like since your the one wearing it 5. Take your shoes with you, the ones your wearing to prom or similar height, it will help with length 6. Enjoy it I’m sure you’re going to look amazing in anything you pick but they are my tips (and my mums for when people were trying on the wedding dresses she made lol)

These dresses and girls are stunning! Way better than anything me and my friends wore to prom 15 years ago. I also bet some of them they made themselves because Gen Z is absolutely killing it with home sewing on social media lately.
