I got a friend who has a 1986 Toyota pick up. The odometer stop working several yrs ago at over 400 000 miles. He believes the miles today are over 600 000 considering the number miles he drives per day. Combustion engines last a life time if you have them serviced properly.

I bought a 2wd long bed in 1986. Patched the frame, finally made a flat bed, patched cab and it made it over one million miles even in Ohio where the roads are concrete and blacktop in the summer and cracked rock salt in the winter. All I did to the drive line was brakes, valve cover gaskets, a water pump. Had to replace the clutch twice .. it had 22re engine. I still use the engine and transmission to run two Quincy compressor pumps at same time because I don't have three phase electric

The diesel v8 is just going out of production but they are very popular here in Australia 🇦🇺. They aren't powerful or cheap but they last forever. A million kilometres is not unheard of.

Surely this is a wind up? But thank you for posting it because it brings back memories. Driving to outstations dogs on the back, windows down for aircon. Soft drink tinnies hung of the wing mirror to keep cool and very fizzy and being young fit and healthy.

If this truck came to the United States, I'd be interested in purchasing it 😮😂 I was deployed to Honduras in 1988 they had Nissan/ Datsun D21 Diesel crew cab 4x4 with manual 5 sp transmission. It was a awesome vehicle, little did I know, they were never offered in the US.

This is just like my very first truck and it had a camper shell 1979 model I paid $4,400 for it. Those tail gate hinges are exactly the same as I had and that interior looks very familiar my was a orange color.

Looks like the old Nissan or Datsun trucks we used to drive. They were indestructible back then with 235000 miles before it needed anything other than sparkplugs and oil changes.
