I can vouch for the Casio “Royale”. My 11 yo son wears it almost 24/7 and it has taken a merciless beating for over a year, including ocean swimming with its 100m WR! So good.

Only thing I hate about it is that it usually gets moved to another timezone when the back of your hand accidentally touch the button. Had a few late appointments because of that. So I changed it to the ae-1300. Sporty-er timing feature. I just missed the 5 alarms from the ae-1200

You've put loads of pieces on my wrist from a £20 Casio Royale, through Chinese specials (2 Loreo and 1 Pagani Subs, Seagull 1963) to Swiss made £500 (Hamilton Khaki King Champagne + OEM bracelet). Common word? VALUE.... Absolute confidence in your reviews. Love your absolute clarity when watches are supplied free. Superb humour, but never usurping the facts. Value is so the best assessment... Watch & Unwind Yes I’m lucky… I wouldn’t say that I have many ‘high-end’ watches...Just one true luxury watch, A bunch of what I guess would be called mid-tier and the there are Casios , severalChinese specials...Lots of entry-level divers etc....I enjoy the shopping and collecting more than saving up a whole bunch of money for a very expensive watch! Cheers!

500 vids and still getting better. I have probably watched at least 400 of these and I love them. I have most of the watches on this list and will probably get the rest too at some point. The only one missing imo was the casio duro. I'd have stuck this one in rather than the worldtimer...but that's just me. Great vid Jody - looking forward to the next 500

Terrific review. Love your value for money attitude. While Ive got a few luxury pieces in the collection, who doesn’t love a bargain? I own half of these and agree 100% with your assessments. The Casios are no-brainers, and the Combat Sub, Lunar Pilot, and Seagull are terrific pieces. Keep the videos coming.

Great list Jody and well done with the channel. Thanks to your earlier review I have one of those komradirskie 650539s currently on it's way from Chistapol. Ae1200 is another good choice although I don't wear mine that much. Personally I would choose the mrw200 analogue over the w217h. I recently picked one up for a tenner on Amazon. outstanding watch at that price.

Congrats on your milestone, Jody! I know you didn't have any footage of them, but both the Steinhart OVM and the O1 Ceramic need to be on the list, IMO. Probably all non-GMT O1s, actually. They cost under $500 and feature Swiss made, elaboré grade movements and sapphire crystals. Plus a screw-pin steel bracelet with solid links, solid end-links and milled clasps. And unlike the Combat Sub, you can always get them for the sub-$500 price, from either gnomon or the manufacturer.

My Vostok GMT arrived this morning, and I immediately partnered it up with the mesh strap that separately arrived last week (??); I'm absolutely DELGHTED with it, so big thanks to Jodie for flagging this one up to us all. Could not agree more about the C60 - got mine the other day and its exceptional for the price. Will be a keeper in my collection. I think it would be worth pushing budget up if possible to get it compared to others as the value you're getting is great! Great video
