Loved mine so much, I immediately bought the Black and Gold and Blue models when they were released. The sunburst dial on the blue is seriously impressive.

Bought mine on an ebay auction from a Japanese seller who was incredibly polite and wrote a kind note with the packaging. Excellent experience. The watch is now my beater and I have no regrets.

One of the first watches I bought for my collection. Just really liked how it looked. Lasted waaay to long on that resin strap, recently swapped it out for a cheap $20 oyster bracelet and it looks and feels better. Will be swapping out the crystal as well!

My first dive watch years ago, and still a classic in my collection. Was surprised at the size but it wears so well, even on my 6.5in wrist! Slapped an orange Barton Brand Elite strap on it and it looks so good :)

I've had a Duro for a couple years. It's hands down my most accurate watch. I've only had to reset it during the time changes (every 6 months, USA). Set to the atomic clock it's only been a couple seconds off each time. Everybody needs one of these.

I'm impressed the second hand lines up pretty much the whole way around. Even on better quartz watches that's a rarity, you usually see it align for half a minute (mostly from 30 to 60) and be slightly off from there. This one seemed to hit the markers all the way through.

I picked one of these up on clearance at Walmart for $11. It’s way better than the Invicta Pro Diver I have. Best $11 I ever spent.

The duro has been pretty much my everyday watch due to my job, the only thing I did was put on a nato strap. I may have to spring for both the blue and the black and gold versions just to change things up a bit.

I watched this video again today and it made me remember that, when I was first starting down the rabbit hole of collecting watches, it was this video that turned me onto the Duro. My beautiful wife bought me the blue colourway for my birthday and once I had it I loved it so much I went on and eventually bought the other five colourway's as well. This wasn't my first watch however and my overall collection has grown over the last two years to around 100 watches (mostly Casios) It's the blue Duro I covet the most though and will keep for ever. I picked up one of these based on your review a few years back and it's not missed a beat since. I ditched the strap for the genuine steel band and it's been a regular on the wrist and my "go to" beach and pool watch and had a fair few compliments in its time!

Love how diver watches go with absolutely any strap. It's like having a couple of different watches for different occasions. And I would take black dial one because it goes with every color perfectly except maybe brown.

I love both this watch and this video. I have had it for a year and this is a constant wear in my collection and I love to change out the straps all the time to freshen it up (currently on a milanese steel mesh). Does not hurt that the second hand hits EVERY. SINGLE. MARKER! Lol, great watch and to anyone looking at at adding this to their collection I think this review is spot on!

I picked up the blue version from my local dept store a few weeks ago for for $41 with coupon and discount. I must say I have not been able to take it off. My Tag Heuer and Seikos have taken a sabbatical since I bought the Duro. I think because I picked it up at such a good price combined with the cult following of this watch it, “feels” extra nice when I wear it and I plan to ride the high as long as I can. I absolutely love my Duro. I have it strapped up with a contemporary Bond. And I constantly get compliments on how good looking a watch it is. It easily sees more wrist time than all of my autos combined.

I got the blue one a few months ago, and the Sunray dial is really nice. A couple weeks ago I skimmed over the Clearance shelf at my local Wal-Mart, and found the black one like in this video for $11! It needed a battery, but my total cost was less than $15. Unbeatable bang for the buck.

I really like the new room setup and style, much cleaner and calming. Keep on making these great videos!

And of course, thanks for the review. This is a great piece if you need something seriously waterproof and analogue, and don't mind the size. Many watches at this price might have a base metal body and chrome plating, but the Duro is full stainless. I had one for a couple years and it never gave me any trouble. I sold it for the same money I bought it for, after the case started to feel unnecessarily large. Totally recommended! You're not getting the utmost in finishing, but other than that it's a tank. The bezel action is surprisingly good.

I bought 2 of these, one for myself and one for a friend who is a licensed scuba diver. I took the original resin straps off and put on 22mm black rubber straps with red stitching from Strapsco. The red stitching matches the red second hand and makes the watch look more customized. I also bought a blue one and put it on a navy blue seatbelt single pass NATO strap.

I recently purchased the blue version of the Duro and once in hand I have one comment. Wow, this thing seriously punches above its weight. It is a very quality unit (except band as you note). I paired it with a $20 medium brown leather band with cream stitching and it’s a looker and very comfortable. I’m not a huge fan of quartz watches but this watch and one of my Junkers are fantastic and keepers for sure. For the ~$55 one can’t go wrong.

Had mine for years & dived all over the world with it & it hasn't missed a beat. Ditch the strap for sure as it doesn't last with insect repellent when travelling & it becomes a perfect watch for globe-trotting day into night 🤙

IMHO, for that sort of money, you simply can't go wrong!

Got one month ago two MDV-106, the blue and the black one. I have a 6,25 inch / 16.5 cm wrist and they sit just right on it - no wobble, discomfort, or silly look. The low profile of the case does the trick. I have nothing but praise for the included resin strap: it looks appropriate, breaks in a week, and becomes comfy as a good pair of slippers. I am also trying different straps, and Natos do work well for me. Highly recommended, amazing value for the money.

This is the watch that started my watch collection. Technically it's the SNKL41, but the Duro came first in the mail a day before. I love it when guys stop to ask about it even though it's a "cheap" watch. I'm a woman who likes watches and I'm glad to have this one. Paired it with a stressed leather strap.

I love the Duro. It's a really nice combination of a sharp-looking, accurate watch that's also cheap and durable enough that I'm not afraid to wear it out and about and get it banged up. I actually bought both the blue and the black/gilt colors so I could see them both in person before settling on a color. I wound up choosing the blue and returning the black/gilt, but I'm tempted to order it again and just wear both. Maybe I should if there's a chance of this model being discontinued and replaced by what I'm sure will be a more expensive version.

I just got one last week after watching your earlier video. It works very well for my 8.8 inch wrist .I'm on second to last notch on the resin band, I replaced it immediately with a 300mm length Zulu. I already put a nick in the mineral crystal , I am thinking about trying my hand at replacing it with sapphire . Thanks for the review

I'm patiently waiting on my second Duro. The one in transit is blue, and I plan to put it on a shark mesh bracelet. The original black Duro is on a red seatbelt nato from Sydney Strap Company. Great value, and still a regular part of my rotation.

I own two of these. This first one I bought about two years ago and the new one I bought about three months ago. Somewhere in-between they upgraded a few things. The indices are now applied and not stamped. The bezel rotates a little smother now too. Lastly the brushing is a bit smother but it's very subtle.

I was really exciting to see you reviewing the Duro and I think I've watched every Duro vid on YT. I'm really in love with this watch, so much so, I got the last of the colorways -- the black/gold -- in yesterday. The Duro is truly my favorite watch. I have 10 or so straps of various kinds and love swapping it out regularly. I have a black leather with red stitching for the Bill G model that looks pretty hot and a plain black silicone is the most comfortable band I've ever owned and it looks snazzy on just about everything I throw at it. I was looking into modding mine. I found mod vids for filling the case with oil -- don't think that's for me -- and saw someone replaced the mineral crystal with a domed sapphire -- which is something I'd like to do. I haven't been able to find a DYI video on that yet, but saw the crystals themselves are around $40 and I'd have to get a press so I'll study on that a bit. It would be a fun project. I would love to pimp my Duro, but in the end it may be better to let a pro handle it. Hmm. I hope there are some new colorways for 2021. I'd love to have a white dial and a random bright color: "professional" like the Doxa would be pretty sweet, but I wouldn't say no to a Duro Hulk or Kermit either. What can I say -- there is something appealing about that little marlin.

For people who want this on a bracelet, the one off my Orient Kamasu fits very nicely, if a bit tight. I’ve been wearing my Duro on that for years and absolutely love the look.

I keep my Duro on an oyster style bracelet I bought from Aliexpress. It was made for the Duro and it fits perfect.

I have one and I love it. I replaced the bracelet with a black and grey Bond NATO strap. That watch is so cool that it definitely deserves a re-review. I predict that for the next color Casio may likely put out a green one, the Duro "Hulk".

Like so many on here, my duro is my daily. I've put it through hell. Chipped crystal in 2 places, scratched case,bezel and crystal in several places and its only 6 months old. But that's exactly why its my daily. You so right about the resin strap. For 40 bucks that I paid for mine, I can buy straps all day long. Currently on a generic marine nationale. And I absolutely love it. I even put a magnifyer on it because my old tired eyes couldn't read the date. Awesom watch to be sure.

It's a beauty. I have two, one in blue. It is tough and durable to boot. I very much enjoy changing NATO straps on this one every few days to give it a different look.

I have one of these and wear it mostly on a nato. Most comfortable daily watch I've ever owned. I have a steel bracelet as well which is nice, not too heavy.

I have all 3 Duros-the black, blue and black-and-gold dual models, and I agree that they’re awesome!! I don’t even mind the resin strap....

Bought one a few months ago Blue 💙 love it !

I had one of these a few years back and actually used it as a scuba watch. Paid under $40 for it so yes, prices have gone up a bit. I think it’s still a bargain at $75. It held its own. While 44mm is big, this one wears small and is pretty thin. I appreciated the larger dial size while underwater.

After all these years..it's still awesome.

Hi Jody! I purchased your last Duro off you a couple of years back, has been my grab and go watch, an easy winner! Though have recently purchased a Bulova Marine Star (Pelagos homage) and I fear this may take over the beater duties from the Duro. Though I think I'll struggle with having to move the Duro on, there's just so much to love about it!

If it was 40mm it would be perfect. The dial is exactly what I want. I had one but I gave it to a friend because it was too big for me. If Casio makes it smaller it would be a huge seller.

Put mine on a good aftermarket steel bracelet and it's lovely. Paid £45 imported to the UK from US about 6 months ago. Such a rare watch over here.

Love my casio duro. I have it in the black and gold. I have a black gold and silver nato strap with it but tend to wear the resin band more as it fits me better. Love this watch and always get questions about it. Its definitely the Casio in my collection that gets the most eyes on it

I bought one 3 years ago and changed the strap immediately. An awesome watch, as you say. The only flaws for me were the size (42mm would have been better. 40mm the best) and that it's not solar (Seiko's Alba watch company makes solar watches with 200m WR at this price point). Anyways, I gave it to my grandfather who still wears it because it's 44mm and legible, and a quartz :D

I finally got one on Amazon UK for well under £50 the other week.Love it ,instant classic. The only tiny niggle I have is the crown,it's not steel and looks a bit cheap .The biggest plus for me is 44mm is my personal sweet spot and perfect for my big wrists and shovel hands,

Jody, thanks for the great video on this watch. I'm taking my wife on our first cruise next month and have been searching for a nice watch to wear on the formal dress dinner night. I'm a retired Coastie and don't feel a need to find something that I will only wear to weddings and funerals. Bottom line, I'm not posh. This watch ticks the boxes for me. Add a nice steel bracelet when I want to dress up, swap out for a rubber or Nato when I'm working in the garage or hitting the beach. Ordered the one with the blue/black bezel today and look forward to putting it to work. Thanks for the in depth and engaging content.

I love these watches, cheap, durable, and beautiful! I oil filled both of mine, switched to the Barton elite band and they look and function even better! I recommend this watch to everyone! Can’t beat it! If you don’t have one, get one. I have much more expensive watches but I can’t take the duro off my wrist!

Hi Jody,I bought one of the two tone DUROs a couple weeks back. In anticipation of it's arrival,I also bought a NATO strap that was black/red/ green striped. When it arrived I was very surprised to find that the strap was VERY flexible compared to other Casio watches I have. Tried on the replacement bad and after a few days decided I actually like the original one better. Also my watch has VERY GOOD lume. I can charge it before going to bed with a small flashlight,and by morning I can still tell the time by the glow. My ONLY complaint on the watch is the brushed finish on the bottom especially. It is very crude looking. The top brushed finish on the lugs isn't as crude however. Overall however,I love this watch.

I've had mine for a few years, I put it on a black rubber Zuludiver deployant strap, not long after I got it, and it's been fantastic ever since,, (shame the vanilla smell isn't quite as strong now !! ) Absolutely fantastic watch imho,,...

It’s such a great watch. Left mine on its original strap as it’s fine for me plus the sail cloth costs nearly as much as the watch! Wear mine on holiday great for poolside and beach. Highly recommend it, go get one 👍

Great timing! I just got my first Casio, the EF-503 "Speedie" homage -- wish you could review it, but sadly it seems discontinued like so many nice watches are. Nice review as always, and here's to hoping they make a 40mm version for us small wristers!

Heh, I actually have three of these, a blue and the black on cheap but nice SS bands, and one more black on a silicone band to bang around. Great little pieces and if you time it just right, you can get some nice deals. I paid 48 for the black and 51 for the blue!

Agree 100%, but you missed the perfect add-on strap option: you can get a soft black rubber, matching polished stainless buckle with black, white, blue or red stitching (to match the Duro seconds hand!) for $8 on Aliexpress! Works on a lot of sports watches in different colors. I've got one one a Timex Three GMT with blue stitching to match the bezel. Best "cheap" rubber strap I've seen.

Only recently got into watches and needed something outside of my Gshock. After seeing so many reviews i bought it along with a leather strap as my primary watch. I love it to bits. One person mistook it for an Omega. Im on the smaller side and it doesnt feel too large, with all of the larger fashion watches out there this seems rather restrained.

I have two at this point. One with a domed blue AR coated sapphire on the silicone strap from my ProTrek. It looks like a $500 watch honestly. The other is a parts bin beater with a complete MRW200 white face dial movement stuffed in it. Still has a screw down crown. I love them both to death.

About a year back, I managed to pick one up for $35 USD at my local Walmart. I then changed out the strap and it's currently wearing a bracelet from WatchGecko that was on sale for $35. I may change out the bezel insert for one for the Omega Planet Ocean. Orange seems pretty popular, but I'm considering the blue.
