I solved a major defect with the wingsock, which only works on LOW-WING aircraft. By attaching it to the BOTTOM surface of my high-wing aircraft, then flying the aircraft INVERTED was I able to overcome the problem. Of course, while inverted, one must remember to reverse the readings: indications of a left crosswind actually show a right crosswind. What a great product!

Hey Bryan, ever since I've gotten the wingsock, my takeoff and landing performance has increased significantly, but I've noticed I always have headwinds in cruise. I was wondering if it would be possible to make a wingsock with a sort of OBS so I can turn it around to get tailwinds in cruise?

Bryan, as a low wing pilot you wouldn't be aware of this, but high wing airplanes have actually been coming Wing Sock ready from the factory for some time now. While we've been waiting for you to invent the Wing Sock, we've been using the mounting rings on the struts for tiedowns. Thanks to you, these rings can finally be used for their intended purpose so high wing pilots can take advantage of the Wing Sock as well.

I was trying to figure out why the wing sock was showing that interesting inboard flow... then I noticed that it was because you were performing a flaps up landing! Makes perfect sense, the high alpha flight characteristics of the low wing will obviously contain a spiral vortex leading to a left turning tendency.. ESPECIALLY WITH THE FLAPS UP IN CLEAN FLIGHT! I knew my ground training was going to come in handy eventually. I just placed an order for two, one for each wing for redundancy. Thanks for keeping us safe Brian! Here's an idea for your flight engineering depth for high wing airplanes, which they're so "brilliant" I'm sure have thought of it by now. Is sell a scaled down version of your wingsock to mount on top of the nose cowl right behind the prop. Okay... that was brilliant. I was seriously wondering where the heck BrYan got a suction mount THAT strong, because when I was mounting cameras to my sportbike fairings to catch killer lean angles in the twisties... they kept slipping off. I lost three mounts and damaged the mounting plate on two cameras when the safety tethers went tight.

Just in front of the windscreen on my gyrocopter is a little pennant. On the ground, I use this to determine wind-direction for when I need to turn into wind (for engine-checks, etc.). Your wing-sock idea is not quite as silly as you might have hoped.😅

I fly a 747 freighter. It's very difficult to see the wings. Do you have one that can be mounted on the nose in front of the cockpit windows? Sure would help with those crosswind landings. Thanks
