This video is a review of the Echo Planner but I added a few other items to my order so I’ve shared those too.
The Echo Planner is an undated A5 Tomoe River paper Planner. As of the time of filming these planners were on sale (20% off the standard grade and 40% off the second grade). I’ve added details of both grades below and the general setup of the planners for reference.

Thank you so much for your review. You’ve just introduced me to the planner that most closely meets my wants. Simplicity. I bought the 2nd grade book planning to draw the months and weeks for the second half of the year. On the remaining daily pages I’ll draw out the few trackers I use, and maybe some journaling or ‘Dear Diary’ type stuff. Now all I need is in one slim, lightweight notebook.

I'm so glad you found it helpful and found your ideal planner! For a great light weight notebook Wonderland222 is a great option. They have quarterly notebooks that are slim and made with TRP and they offer 96 page notebooks and also 192 page notebooks. I love the 96 personally. So versatile. They come in A5, B6 and A6 size. I've got quite a few videos on their planners and notebooks but let me know if you have questions.

I expect if they are popular they might venture into others in the future. They do have notebooks in B6 and Weeks size too so hopefully they'll add more in the future.

Thanks so much for sharing - this is a very interesting option! I hadn’t heard of Paper Echoes before, but their items look really cute and I love the layout of their planners. Love the little characters on the cover, too! I think the date at the top of the daily pages can be easily covered up with whiteout or a sticker if you use more than one page a day. Since I don’t use a daily every single day, I wouldn’t mind the second quality planner either… I don’t need a planner at the moment, but maybe I’m going to buy one for some later time since it’s undated.

Thank you for this review. Some of the details aren't shown on their website, so I really appreciate this detailed overview. I'm not a fan of the watermark monthly, weekly, and dailies because they're glaring and they kinda ghost at the back. I wish they left if blank for the user to use it however they want to. I was a bit concerned with the spine pillowing...I'm not sure if it will hold up well when the planner chunks up. There were a lot of details that didn't seem to jive with me, but it's fine; it's a personal thing. I do love that it's undated so this will never go stale and will always be available whenever people feel the need for a new planner. Really appreciate this review!

I completely understand on all fronts. I think having used TRP notebooks and planners for over 6 years I'm so used to shadowing I never really notice it LOL. But completely get the desire for it to be blank. Something to note as I design my own planner ;) Thanks so much for watching and sharing your comments too :)

I like Paper Echos stickers. They are so cute. They are a bit thick for the HoCo paper in my eyes but I still use them and like them. I have her tabs on my planner now and love them. They've held up nicely. Thank you for another wonderful review.

Thank you for this video. I hadn't heard of this company and they have some really cute stuff. I appreciate learning about new Tomoe river paper bookbound journals. Those are my favorite style. you will have to update when you start using it to let us know how you like it. 🙂

Thank you for sharing this planner option :) Are the grid lines in Echo Planner lighter/fainter than Wonderland222? How are they compared with Sterling Ink notebook/planner gridlines or Aura Estelle's? (For me Wonderland222 grid lines are a bit too dark for my preference... )

I need to pull them out and lay them next together to compare directly. I think this is a little lighter than W222 and a little darker than the SterlingInk. But I need to double check. I’ll make a note to take a pic and post on IG and the community tab this weekend.

A Midori clear cover would work or one of the Wonderland222 covers - the half year notebook version I think would fit best.

Thank you for this info. You do reviews so well! I agree that this planner is not a "fancy " planner, and it would be great as a beginners or for fun play. I don't like the spine bubbling. Maybe it could be removed and just show the stitching like another planner I saw. My esthetic is not so many bunny, cat, icons. The stickers look nice. I'm sure my daughter would like them. Thank you 😁

Thank you :) Yes the TAN (take a note) has an exposed spine which I love --- and that's a great idea about cutting that part off to expose the stitching and not see the bubbles. For me, I mostly keep my planners in clear covers so I can put decorative paper to make it my own so I wouldn't see the bubbles which is good :) The characters aren't my style either - as far as being already printed in the planner. But I like them in the stickers and such...just something fun and whimsical. But it definitely makes this a more fun planner. I think I'd be less precious with it. Thanks so much for watching!

W222’s B6 is ISO (international standard paper sizing) whereas some like Stalogy and SterlingInk use JIS which is Japanese paper sizing - which is slightly larger than the international paper sizing standard. AuraEstelle uses ISO sizing if memory serves. But there are others…just need to remember which 😝 I’ll get back with you.

AuraEstelle is actually sort of between the two - a tad smaller than the JIS B6 (Stalogy) and tad bigger than the ISO B6 (W222). Create With Pen B6 is ISO size - so is PlannerMonkeyCo's Freely notebooks/planners, PaperTess and HarrietWrightDesigns based on thier listings. So that's a few options.

Never heard of this brand it’s so cute. Also..did you hear that leuchttrum came out with their b6 but in hardcover? I’m interested to see it. there are hardly any hardcover b6’s out there. But great video love ! As always 👍

I like the LT1917 B6 though it's a B6+ (larger than a true B6). I actually did my bujo in it for a while. I have two leather covers for that size. Interesting to know about the hardcover. The only ones I know of otherwise are Scribbles That Matter and Archer and Olive. I don't think DingBats makes one...but not 100% sure. Thanks for sharing!

The grid in the planner looks like it may be a little darker than Hobonichi? If that's true, that's a huge selling point for me. I'm forever frustrated with how light the Hobonichi grid is. Thank you for another detailed unboxing and review!
