So with your scrapbook you should do like the pattern instructions with each sample. So like front and back of each page so 2 per page. I think that would be cool. So in 100 years they have a sample and the instructions.

I kept thinking the whole while that crocheted with #10 cotton or smaller that this would make a super fun pair of earrings! Engineering Knits did a video not too long back of some antique crochet/ knit sample journals she found. It included patterns for various types of lace tape, edgings, etc, with the sample attached. Some of them were actually sewn right onto the page! I hope you keep us posted on journal progress 😊

In putting your crochet items in your scrapbook, there are packing list adhesive envelopes that you could put the item into and then tick to the page. That wY you can remove the item and replace it. I also like the suggestion of putting the crochet directions with the item. Love watching your channel. You are so fun to watch

In the white row, row 5, when you were doing the [2HDC in one stich, 3HDC in next 3 stitches] repeat 7 times. On the 7th time you worked the 2HDC in one stitch but not the 3 HDC in the next 3 stitches. That's why you were 3 stitches off at the end. 23:57 start of row

Your sense of humour is awesome! The "crochet crime" part had me in stitches. I'd put a crocheted paisley amoeba in my christmas tree, that thing came out really cute! You might already have an idea for the scrapbook by now, but I used to punch holes in thick paper and run a ribbon through them and tie my lace to the page like that.

“We did not just commit crochet crimes here. I don’t know what you are talking about!” 😂😂😂 I am REALLY going to have to remember that statement. The ornament is great. I think you are supposed to be able to use as many colors as you want. The pattern seemed to leave that open. Definitely a success! And I like the idea of the scrapbook.

The Paisley was super cute! I kept screaming at the screen Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell 😂 Crochet crimes 🧐 I saw no milk cartons with photos of missing stitches on the backs of them. Adore and appreciate the scrap book idea. Just a thought to attach work to page.. instead of double sided tape use hole punch to place hole in paper then tie/sew work on if worried about pins/tape/glue ruining work. Just a suggestion. This was a fun one. Hope all else is well ma’am 🧡

Regarding the notebook: There are various sized smaller archival plastic envelopes that will affix to a scrapbook page. They are made to hold keepsake things that are not as easily put into a scrapbook as photos. In addition to sleeving the pages, I would number, name and date each entry and make an index. I remember my junior high home ec teacher making us "sew" patterns on pieces of copier paper with the sewing machine before she turned us loose on the machines with actual thread. She got mad at the boys in the class, because they made "hot rod" noises while pushing on the foot pedal. 😄

Very cute & fun! Agreed on the shoe until the cluster row. Then thought it was a petal for a big flower, then a fan of peacock feathers...definitely a new virus!!! 😂 Another excellent and fun tutorial! Love that you're gonna do a scrapbook, and what a beautiful book you chose! To best preserve your work, you absolutely need to use only acid free paper for mounting and maybe as page separators - plastic sleeves may brown your work. No tape, as stated by many if your subscribers - it browns and WILL destroy your pieces. Tack pieces to the paper using wider stitches that won't tear the paper. Maybe research how to mount textiles to preserve them? I have embroidery pieces I made 40 years ago & mounted/framed using all acid free materials - not a speck if browning! Worth it!!!

Oh I love this! How fun to see an ornament. The idea of a crochet scrapbook is such a beautiful one. You can TOTALLY sew through the cardboard. Especially since it's a ring binder, if you take the page out and mark where you want the holes and punch them first it will be very easy to sew in the pieces. You really just need to tack them in a few places.

I just finished a crochet baby dress. I saw a picture and fell in love. Was waiting for payday to order the pattern and found out it was a charted pattern and I don't know how to read a crochet chart. So delved into videos on how to read a chart. Also found a tutorial on how to crochet the dress, but it was in spanish. Oh mom and grandma why o why didn't you teach me spanish, why did you think I wouldn't need it? Took years in high school but cannot speak fluently. So I delve into the tutorial with English subtitles, making notes in English and after two weeks, I have a finished dress for a newborn.(I have a reborn doll that will wear it after I make a slip to go under). Dress is very lacey. I thought English terms to American terms was something else. Spanish is on a whole nother level. From what I can comprehend, a sc is called either a half stitch or a half point. She talks about points a lot. She uses term double crochet for a dc or trc. Only clarification is sometimes a dc with one or two wraps, so going by what she was doing in the video was crucial. Still wondering how she got from 5 trcs in lp on one row and next row by adding one trc in first and last st of previous fan she got 8 trc instead of 7m, which now means I have an extra row and instead of ripping out the fan and starting over adding an extra chain loop to each fan. It is beautiful and with my right arm in a sling will start trying to write a comprehesable pattern from my notes. I did the dress in a size 10 thread with an irredescent mono filiment in it. I got it from Hobby Lobby a few years ago for 7.99 and it is made in Mexico. I did my own twist on the 8 points of the fan putting purple bows with pink ribbon roses in the center at the point of each fan. I also used the stacked sc at the beginning of the rows on the bodice of the dress and really like the look of that opening edge. Will find some way of sharing when I'm done.

I think your scrapbooking idea is wonderful! You can also decorate the pages as well, as a lot of scrapbooking paper people do. One thing I will mention is that when I am mounting Crosstitch pieces, I have to be sure to use acid free, tape. Double sided or single sided, it doesn’t matter, acid free means it will not turn the fabric yellow after a few years. I don’t know if yarn reacts the same way as Crosstitch fabric does, but if you can find acid free, double sided tape, it would be a better option. Good luck, and I will keep watching.

Awesome ornament!!! I was thinking sanitary pad!!! LOL!!! Maybe because I had seen an advertisement on tv for them. I have been racking my brains how to insert my mom's samplers in a book - I had them in a smaller photo album but the pages ripped. I have many empty bigger albums acid free and with sleeves waiting for pictures but this was a wonderful idea!!! Thank you I don't know how long tape would hold them down...on my other book, I had stapled them -pretty good until you try to unstaple them! My mom (who was a seamstress) made me practice sewing on paper before graduating to cloth. I might try that out as I haven't found any videos that have been shared, but there are some excellent ideas to try below. Definitely something to try as my samples are already getting old (from the 60 s) Thank you all!!

Watched the video last night and after turning back to the youtube starting side, they suggested a video "how to crochet a book" on Samantha Clair Crochet. Because of the match I watched that, too, and - although I did not enjoy half as much to listen to Samantha as I enjoy listening to you, dear Corinna - I like the Idea and the design. So all of you crocheters who can not affort the amazon scrap book, or those who are that crochet-mad, that they want to crochet the book for the crochet samplers, might take a look on samanthas channel
