How can an interview tear you up.....Gulzar Saab is a national treasure. To describe him in words is almost blasphemous (simply because he is the greatest wordsmith ever). Khushi ek phuljadi hai jo pal bhar ke liye jalti hai, udaasi agarbati hai jo der tak mehsoos hoti hai.

Always envied Meghna Gulzar’s relationship with her father. The way he speaks about her, every daughter deserves this kind of love.

This old generation was so learned and cultured.. today you cannot hear any superstar talking this way.

When Gulzar ji tells about his feelings about Tagore and Sarat Chandra , it brings tears to my eyes .

gulzars writing is so personal yet so universal. the way he portrays women in his writings just opened up a different perspective in me to look at women. the way he appreciates women’s beauty is very beautiful.

Be it the first downpour of northwestern or the eternal pangs of separation, or the vehement expression of patriotism or spiritual surrendering, there's not a single emotion, no matter how complex, that can't be expressed with something in Tagore's treasury!! We Bengalis don't really need a special day to celebrate Tagore, as he is deeply intertwined with our daily lives ..
