I had footage of the iData Link Maestro from a Kenwood which is identical to JVC. Kenwood owns JVC and uses the same interface for iData Link

Trying to decide between the KW-V420BT and the 620BT. What are your thoughts? I would like to be able to use my Android phone for navigation and have it display on the screen. Is that possible with any of the JVC models? If not what else would you recommend? Thanks!

However, screen mirroring(mirror link) only allows functions from the source. So even thought the radio will display whatever is on your phone's screen, you still have to control everything from the phone

Thinking about this as a Christmas gift , doing my research , and this was at the top and was about to purchase , until i realized , MHL isnt supported on Galaxy devices after 2015 like my Galaxy s6 Edge. So how am i to utilize the mirrorlink features , and controlling my phone on the actual screen? Does it even make sense for me to still purchase this unit or a cheaper one with basic hdmi and stick a chromecast in it?

With the new Samsung phones you are limited to Android auto or connecting through HDMI; however you will need to control through the phone with HDMI.

My screen seems very hard to see during the daytime. I tried adjusting brightness, but I can't get it bright enough, so I don't know if I'm doing it right. Is there a way to make it better in daylight?

We've actually been testing that out and so far we've found out that it is possible, but you need two phones. What you do is connect to chromecast in range of your home's wifi with your main phone. Then you leave the wifi zone. The second one then needs to act as a hotspot. But its not 100% full proof, and we're still trying to figure out how to do this because the S7's have so much trouble mirroring.
