Sat on hold with Best Buy for 25minutes and no answer. Looked up this video - worked! Took me a few tries so don't give up. Second video by this gentleman is important to watch.

Holy shit balls. I just changed my car battery and have no idea where my receipt is. Or manuals for that matter. Worked a treat, Thankyou. (Similar but not the same model. Mine is CarPlay and FM only- no CD player.)

OMG took me 20 times till I found the sweet spot , but I got it! Immediately went to part 2 cleared and reset the security code. It works. You saved me.

Honestly I do not. I actually got this information from a JVC rep over the phone. If you call them, they maybe able to help you.

How do you originally get the code for the Radio?? Im about to replace the battery on my 350z would i need to code to my Jvc Radio before unplugging my battery

It’s only going to have a code if, someone has put a code in it. If you bought it new and never put a security code in it, then you shouldn’t have to worry about it

I had that problem. Had to get in touch with JVC. THEN I had fill in two forms with radio details and authorization to pay $93.50 for the radio to be collected and code reset. Along with the above I had to send proof of purchase and a photo of my driver's license for I.d. The radio has to go back to JVC. WHY AFTER IVE PROVIDED THE ABOVE can't they email me a new code. If I change my car again will I have the same prob? Good luck. I hadn't put a code in. The radio thinks it's been stolen grŕŕr

@@javieramaro5474 I get that my friend and I don’t have this unit, when I asked the question months ago it was for my customer who purchased a vehicle with this type of radio in. My advice will be to do this sequence like in the video because my customer said it worked for them

If you gain access into the headunit main screen with this sequence you can't change the code but you can go into the Bluetooth device setting name of device and password for the Bluetooth device is shown and 7/10 time the Bluetooth code is the same as the head unit entry code you're welcome to anyone this info helps...👍👌

Yes, prior to seeing it I had shut off me vehicle and now I am doing the security code bypass but am unable to get past it again so I figured I was trying to figure out how to tell if my placement is right when i tap it.

No Start with this method. Enter the "setup" menu. While displaying the SETUP top screen. Touch the screen within 2 seconds in the following order. Upper left corner - Upper left corner - Lower right corner - Lower right corner - Lower right corner - Upper left corner When you have entered the SERVICE MENU, press Clear Data.
