Tell me JYP isn’t thinking “maybe we do 2 or 3 mini albums and then start releasing solo albums” 😂

Also, I continue to loooooove the coaches and staff. I would seriously love it if they took 5-10 minutes out of the last episode (or maybe a post-mortem show) to introduce them with a note like “this is Soyeon, she is one or our best vocal coaches, trained with JYP, debuted in xxxx and stayed with us to coach for 7 years now” or “this is Trevor, he has been with us for 8 years and has coached dance for Twice, Stray Kids and Itzy”. I think that would be so nice, given that they get screen time and it’s one of my favourite parts.

even though KG didn't dance she still killed it, and she never really was a Country singer, people get confused because she had a twang she was trying to get rid of and it wasn't necessarily a Country twang but more of a vocal technique that altered her voice, Christina's strength and creativity is amazing, I also felt the same out of Gina, but also there were some parts where I thought she expressed the opposite emotion of what should come out, and of course Camilla did amazing as well, she is super talented, and the Editor done did it again with Savannah, she must be his Ult lol

I said the same thing as soon as Gina finished her performance 😭. But i’ve been noticing that she’s not really facially expressive even normally. who knows. and yes i was so surprised KG said that lol. “but also a bit confused because it’s a country genre and i’ve never sang country” the way she worded it kinda made it seem like they picked the song for her? I don’t know maybe i misunderstood and she meant she wanted to try something new for her.

Great reaction! You improve and surprise me every step of the way. I am also tense for next week but I have noticed in catching up on reactions for episode 14 & 15 that they edit JYP’s comments creatively in the look-ahead. Example: they had him say “there are 3 people already going to Korea” in the look ahead at the final line-up where he said “4 people” at the actual event. So we really can’t tell who he is criticizing. Who do we have left: Savannah: I can’t remember her singing really but she was the #4 finalist so she would have had to fall apart a bit (or not improve) for this to be about her. Lexus is about consistency. She is consistently a great dancer and also consistently not a stellar singer. She does know how to train and work, so I am hoping she has been able to improve and that this is not about her. I see her tears in the ‘green room’ but I am thinking/hoping that is for other people Yuna had struggled in LA and then come into her own at the end of the week, but that depended a lot on group training. It will be interesting to see how she handled the 5-6 months at home and what benefit she got from individual training these two weeks. She may struggle now but shine if the next round is group work. If someone doesn’t get a stone, they can probably earn it in the final round. If someone ranks last there are only two more evaluations and they just need to not be last. The problem really is that the top girls are going to rocket up with this professional support and development, so the disparity is going to be more apparent without some small miracles and breakthroughs.

I was thinking the same thing as you (and JYP) about Gina. She sings and dances really well, but I didn’t feel anything like with the others. Absolutely loved Cristina, my favorite, and Camilla blew me away with her vocals. To me they’re the clear top 2. KG I loved as well, and I was shocked she’d never done country, I thought that was her thing before.

I wish jyp told her shes young act like her age dont try to act too mature she looks like shes trying too hard on herself gina is only 13 or 14 yrs old but she wont show it. I cant deny her talent singing and dancing, i am now doubting if she will make it to the group.

Also the episodes should be ten minutes longer and give us more b-roll of the girls hanging out with each other and experiencing life in Korea

Other thoughts: KG is definitely talented. I just don’t see how she fits in a group. Of course, we still aren’t clear how “k-pop” this is vs. “america-pop”. If it’s sign + dance + rap then I think she is a square peg in a round hole but if it’s Glee Club or High School Musical then i think it works. I don’t see that on live stage shows in Korea but maybe they’ll instantly be bigger in the USA than some 4th gen K-pop groups. Gina definitely has to break through some barriers. Her performance made me think a bit of a back-up dancer/singer. I know there have been groups where there are members who are not primary or principle anything (IZ-one comes to mind) but I don’t think that works in 4th gen. Cristina already had a lot of momentum in her life & I think the interactions with JYP have empowered her. She is also well able to listen and learn from the resources provided to her. Talent is one thing, but the ability to develop it and focus it is another. Camila is seriously a treasure. She shines on her own and will also nurture and inspire those around her.
