Jyväskylä is a Finnish city, the regional center of Central Finland and a municipality on the north shore of Päijänte in the province of Central Finland. Laajavuori jumping hills is a ski jumping stadium formed by five plasticized jumping hills in Jyväskylä's Laajavuori.
The largest jumping hill is Matti Nykänen's hill (previously called Laajavuori's jumping hill), which is a large hill built in 1965. It is named after hill jumper Matti Nykänen. The Suurmäki tower is one of the landmarks of Jyväskylä, along with the Harju water tower.
