30:38 This scene of Bhishma and Shakuni conversation is great. Very well shot and dialogues are great. Shehenai melodious tune makes scene more effective. It shows that Bhishma knew that Mahabharat yuddha is inevitable and Kauravas and Pandavas will go for each others throats. He loved all his grand children equally and hence he lits 105 diyas. Bhishma knows Shakuni has enabled war after setting up rigged gamble game and yet he respects sinister Shakuni and welcomes him to his chamber, offers seat to discuss. This shows how great and gentlemanly was Gangaputra Bhishma. Sad to see that such great Mahapurush had to die fighting on the side of Adharma.

If he wasn't there the pandavas could have committed small mistakes in the fit of rage, which could have ultimately lead to their defeat. Small things and details matter a lot. If bheem had killed keechak in the court their identity would have been revealed and again would have lead to vanvas ,which would further waste their own time. He thinks way ahead. So stop blaming king Yudhishthir. His character is always misunderstood by everyone. Remember : wise people never act on their impulses. That is the reason they are wise. They always think about the consequences of their action. This quality is so rare in today's generation.
