I agree, in SWF1 I can only remember 5 dancers but in SWF2 there are multiple of them. I also think that SWF2 is the better season because Lia Kim's name carries a lot of weight in the industry so naturally it brought in more viewers.

@@daeng2989 yes it might be memorable to many still, mainly in Korea, but on a global stand most international viewers didn’t know about the show until SWF2 came out. Proof of that is the different choreographies people around the world are still doing from SWF2 on social media platforms & The amount of followers the dancers now have then they did before the show.

Sorry SWF1 still the best! I can’t even remember some of the dancers in S2. Without SWF1 there won’t be SWF2

She is definitely way better than Monika

Even though she's better than Monika, the battle between Lia and Mina was messy. Many of the audience agreed with what Monika said, and so did I. Plus, Monika said she started a dance because Lia. She respected Lia so much until now. Unsurprisingly, Lia made a more significant move in dance society than Monika.

Beside Mina Young Battle, her other battle performances are good, but she is not as good as she used to be. She was a beast battler in the past but yes, she is still better than monika

Monika knows how good Lia is. She was definitely disappointed to see how Lia performed that episode and just gave her honest thought.

why in the world are you calling out Monika when it's not necessary at all.. although you might be right saying Lia is better than Monika but it doesnt make your comment better since it was unnecessary information. why do people always have to call someone out if they compliment someone....

yeah, she was supposed to lead want for swf1 but she got injured and the mnet PDs asked hyojin to take over.

Yeah it made complete sense. That battle was terrible.

I mean monica knows them pretty well. She must have expectations since she knows both Lia and Mina are great dancers, and in that battle they seem to be under a lot of emotion which makes their dance very messy.

nah, still too early for an all stars season. there’s also the thing that’s the biggest block of that ever happening: most crews have been vocal about not wanting to go back to join even if it was offered. filming takes a really long time, and in between that most dancers also have day jobs. almost everyone got sick or injured in one way or the other while on the show because of how stressful and grueling it was.

@@Maria-zs8heit’s not the same 😭 monika and lia are in different genres, unlike rozalin and lip j, and rather than having a teacher-student relationship they’re colleagues at best since they were in the dance industry for roughly around the same time along with the older wolflo members, buckey, and honey j. monika’s skillsets are in krumping (former teammates with buckey in woofam), hiphop (close friends with the older wolflo members especially chocol and babysleek, and honey j), and contemporary (what she does now), while lia is in popping and choreo. that’s like comparing oil and water when they’re two different substances lmfaooo

Lia was a great battler😂 even Babysleek said so. But it’s true that she had fully turned to choreography and isn’t that good at battles now. It shows when she goes against real legend battlers who’re still doing battles, like Babysleek.

Monika Dance Studio was created first to teach heels choreo/ heels dance. So I think there's no problem if she was called out for battle. Watched some of her videos that has pointy heels, Monika will slay on this one 😊

The best don't always win in competitions though. In swf2, waackxxxy, yoonji and cera are some of the best dancers and could smoke anyone in a freestyle but that doesn't mean they'll win the competition though. In other famous reality shows like The Voice/American Idol (the season with Adam Lambert comes to mind who went to tour with Queen later on and no one remembers who even won in that season), some of the most memorable and arguably the best singers didn't always win either. Not to take away from the deserved winners but at times these shows aren't the most fair and all the participants are very knowledgeable of their craft meaning that regardless of whether one is a better dancer/not, they are definitely capable of being on the judging panel.

Monika is already senior and well-known dancer...she also had many experiences for being a judge... she did not win because MNet shows always give benefits towards popularity, meanwhile Monika's priority is to dance with in-depth emotion according to her own perspective so those who understands what she delivers to the audiences love her so much
