Sakura has actually appeared 5 times in total in Kouhaku with 3 different groups. 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2022. It’s maybe like winning Champions League 5 times with 3 different clubs which is remarkable 👏🏼

Sakura career has been a very successful one and not a failure as many might think because she was a member of the most popular Japan idol groups then left them to joined izone a temporary group that was very successful and once izone was over she joined lesserafim which it has been a good group so to me she hasn't failed at all

I think she just said AKB48 instead of HKT48 to make it easier to explain. Most people that aren't fans of 48G don't really understand the difference between all of the sub-groups and the fact that they can be members of multiple groups at the same time, etc. It's a little confusing to non-fans.
