I know the thing about the brutality against the people working there seems horrible, but that was, in fact, the reality of a huge chunk of the African Population from the 1500s to the 1860s, which was shipped off as slaves to the American Plantations, and the conditions were absolutely appalling for them. They were branded to mark them as the property of the particular slave trader, auctioned and dragged off as animals, and then they would be brutally beaten up and even killed if they didn't do the bidding of the master. The USA literally had a civil war to end this barbaric practice on its soil, and now, many states in the USA don't even have the decency to cover this topic, and attack this as "woke" culture. I actually appreciate the fact that the director, Prashant Neel had portrayed the brutality with the dark levels that it should be given.

Some saying Chapter 2 is cringe and toxic masculinity..you got to realize this is a narrative choice. The father wasn't telling the story, the son was. Even the son says : My father would have narrated this way differently. The makers took the narrator seriously as well..Now Rocky..is the Batman in this universe. One has to be Joker minion level crazy to stand up to him, that is why the police station scene happened the way it was.
