It's been 40 years since Knight Rider aired on Television (1982 - 2022). As a tribute to my mother's favorite show, I built K.I.T.T. in honor of the series.
K.I.T.T., Acronym for "Knight Industries Two Thousand" is a Spy Car driven and operated by Michael Knight (Portrayed by David Hasselhoff). The vehicle is best known for its jet black paint and its futuristic appearance, most notably the slit containing a red tinted scanner on the front of the vehicle. K.I.T.T. is also sentient with an AI containing a personality. The vehicle is based on a 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am, a vehicle also used in "Smokey and the Bandit" starring Burt Reynolds.
It took me three-and-a-half days to finish K.I.T.T. with a few shots of Coffee, Ruffles, and Fritos. The entire vehicle was quite tricky to build, since there are complex parts that are quite difficult to pull off. That is solved with Angle Locking and Piston Locking; which sometimes bugs out when the disconnectors are separated from the Motorlocks.
I posted a "V1 version" of K.I.T.T. on the Plane Crazy Discord Server and Subreddit, which looked off despite the tires don't match the ones on K.I.T.T.. The Second version, this vehicle presented in the video, looked much more better since I reworked the vehicle's wheels and reduced the number of headlights from six to four to match the car's Season 3 and 4 appearance. Another thing with the V1 K.I.T.T. that bugged me out was the presence of Wipers on the windshield, since K.I.T.T. does not have any; Eventually, it was removed on the V2 K.I.T.T..
