Kotilingeshwara Temple is a temple in the village of Kammasandra in Kolar district, Karnataka, India. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva. The temple has one of the largest Shivalingams in the world. The temple charges Rs 20 tickets per head and generally has a long queue. There is various type of shillings and temple inside.
Koti means crore in Kannada Language of Karnataka and linga refers to an abstract representation of the Hindu god Shiva in Shaivism. Linga or shivalinga is a statue or murti or a devotional image in Hindu temples dedicated to Shiva
The specialty of Kotilingeshwara temple is that it consists of more than 90 lakh shivalingas , has a 108 feet tall shivalinga , also has a 35 feet tall nandi statue, and 11 other temples dedicated to various gods.
