K Koke definitely been bumping in Toronto since the beginning. I was like 14 when Are You Alone Fam dropped. I was wearing my gloves with the velcro strap open, wearing my belt like they do in the UK, had the satchel and all that. I thought everyone knew who K Koke was at the time but it's just he was big in Toronto (and Canada as a whole). The track with Gangis I remember that dropping. K Koke a legend for real.

Looneiz Tunez talking about black Toronto, youth culture, places like rexdale, Jane and finch, malvern which we have a way of talking different from mainstream. The Jamaican influenced patois, syntax and local made slangs we use on a daily bases that doesn’t show up in the songs.

@@asanteakan70 depends what your idea of making it means. I look at guys such as Northside Benji, Pressa that rap they do and did not need an American cosign. Growing up to play a Toronto record at a party was seen as corny. I've seen a Pressa record shut down a club or concert. This has shifted from the time Canadians were putting on American accents during caribana now people keep true to themselves. This is reflective in the music.
