Hehe The problem is that most of their fans (the obsessed ones) are like really toxic and which needs to be addressed. They are bully. They don't want anything to do with other artists. All they care is about bts. If anyone is talking about other artists in front of them then rather than praising the artist they would be like BTS has done better. I was literally talking about how Emma watson contributed towards the growth of feminism to one of my friend (who is a die hard fan of bts) she didn't pay attention to me and said they are all Just dramatic people and only bts are the one who is true. If you call yourself an army then support bts but don't become obsessed with them. This fandom is really toxic because of some people. Even Charlie Puth addressed it. I support bts but when things are wrong then it is wrong. For example When bts didn't win Grammy but instead Rain on me Won Grammy then I supported bts because they should have won. But the conflict with Jason Derulo (the one with savage love when he didn't say thank you to bts and army made him a villian in their life.) Is actually pretty obnoxious, people started hating him because the army think that savage love was made famous by bts army but infact savage love was like really famous even before Bts and Jason Derulo collaborated. And The one scenario in which they accused Charlie Puth for using bts for clout

aww just like any other fandom, there would be a few bad apples but i promise, armys are really great people. Before I joined the fandom particularly ARMY's online space, i admit it was not all rainbows but i realized that at the end, no one would really do horrible things in real life. It starts and ends in your computer screen. It made me think a lot and that truly helped me see armys in a positive way. As they had done so much charity projects and heartwarming activities around the world. We're just any other fandom but what makes us different...we put bts music to heart and return that positive energy to fan engagement.

true...i never really got to know the fandom because i wasn't socially active before. But as i tried to open up and took the chances, i never really see this kind of fandom that is so passionate, the music turns to action. ARMY has so much power tbh

Even tho bts's fandom is not full of toxic Twitter users but compared to other most other creators BTS has a big fandom, now even the proportion of toxic kids and genuine music enjoying Chads are very different the numbers play a important role. So that's why many ppl hate BTS fandom. As a non k-pop guy I like BTS as a band and I respect them but the fandom I will hate them till I become one(which basically will never happen because I am not into pop music)

Also army do streaming parties for the first 24h after release and first week only. These are the ways a fan can thank the artist that in some cases got them out of dark moments in their lives. Bts has beautiful music so why not listening to it daily?

Every fandom has toxic fans. BTS was already bashed for breathing when the fandom was small and quiet. ARMY is so big now, so what looks a lot is actually a little if we compare to the number of fans there are in the fandom. Also, only a few people talk about all the good stuff ARMY is doing. People would rather interact and talk about the few toxic ones who are loud af instead of the majority of the fandom who are nice and do charities.

just because you seeing bad things people saying doesn’t mean there’s nothing good has been done at all. ppl tends to highlight more on something they dislike bcs they believing that way, thats why. go to twitter and search @OneInAnArmy for proves. the number of charities and donations has been held for years already, much more than any fans ever done to the society

Yes I distanced myself before to a lot of music cuz it was just generally catchy tunes and no lyrics to bring to the plate. Don't get me wrong, i love some feel good songs but i don't find so much meaningful music nowadays not until i discovered bts
