That sound has been part of African culture since time immemorial.our traditional songs and drums have those sounds.africans were taken from the land and spread throughout the world.somewhere like Jamaica basically all or almost all their sounds sound African.a Brazilian was telling me sometime back of a particular culture practice and dance in Brazil and while she was explaining it sounded exactly like an African tradition.the name of the practice even had an African name.further research revealed that it is a Nigerian tradition.and everything was basically the same. the girl in question isn't even black,she is white,multicuturally white even.when some of the slaves were taken from africa,everything was taken away from them.they only thing they had was the African music and sounds in their head and they used those sounds to make themselves happy and form a tradition in a foreign land.

That rhythm is Origin from "JAMAICA 🇯🇲". Nicki Minaj samples Jamaican rhythm and language alot in her music. The rhythm is from Mr.Vegas song called Head high. Other Artists from Jamaica use this Rhythm and because of Jamaicans great talent with Dancehall/reggae music the world embraces it!! We have no problem with this but give gratitude/respect were it's due. She is from Trinidad and she loves Jamaica and Jamaicans love her! However this Ryhthm isn't from Trinidad.
