Chanhyuk's album is honestly a masterpiece that plays out like a story. As you can see from the MV, it's centered around a "what if" situation of Chanhyuk himself dying and the aftermath. The intro song itself is when the accident happened and the songs unfold down from there - such as the ambulance ride to the hospital, being declared dead, going back through memories of love and such. It's brilliant honestly.

Soyeon, composed “Nxde”, explained, “When you see the word ‘nude’, you could think ‘Isn’t it too sexual?’ However, I thought of it as ‘being my true self’ rather than ‘being naked’. My bare face without makeup on is my real face, isn’t it? That’s what ‘nude’ meant to me.” The best of it all? It's just that it was probably ingeniously thought out. In Korea it is very common for men to take pictures of nude women without their consent, so there is a lot of research for these nudes there, and with gidle nxde they made all the research go to their music and fought the sharing of these images. Besides that in Korea, "IDLE" is like a "child", so if someone searches for images of children, they'll give it to their music. It was fucking brilliant and amazing.

It originally comes from the term “LESSERAPHIM”, whereas Seraphim is a 6 winged heavenly being. In this case, LE SSERAFIM (르세라핌) consists of 6 members, which is a delegate for this meaning." (Worded from urbandictionary) This is backed up by the Antifragile MV with the angel figure @ 14:14. Despite being 5 members now, they still carry this meaning with them.

If chill 80's pop is your thing, Chanhyuk's album is for you. If not, then not. The song Time! Stop! has become one of my absolute fave b-sides of the year :D

I think you're right about Mic On. There are a ton of references in the songs and MVs to older songs and things they've done individually or as a group and it does feel like they dedicated this album to playing with moomoos and having fun. You didn't mention it but you probably know that 1,2,3 Eoi! is their team chant before leaving a dressing room to go on stage. The MV is like a highlight film of Mamamoo Tipsy Live vids. The enduring mystery is how they sound so good while goofing around. Their crack songs are always musically interesting rather than being throw-aways. I can't pick a favorite but 1,2,3, Eoi! is definitely in the top 3. ;)

I think Le Sserafim didn't use the six-winged angel imagery, or if they did they abandoned it as they lost their sixth member soon after debut. If I recall correctly, Chaewon once explained it as "just a word our boss came up with" or something like that; but it is an anagram of "I'm fearless", as their logo shows. The "storyline" of Le Sserafim is their own story; most of the members overcame obstacles, went through hardships or took crazy risks before they debuted as Le Sserafim, but they want to show they will fearlessly face the obstacles, and not let themselves be broken, but grow stronger from it. Per aspera ad astra and all that. With this release each of them got a jewel as a symbol, and Chaewon's quote (via WIZONE PD48) on her jewel, diamond, was quite impactful, and reflects the concept of the group pretty well: "What makes diamonds so strong is. how brilliantly they shine after the harsh cutting & polishing they undergo. became the shining version of myself I am today because I wasn't afraid of getting a few scratches from being cleaved & smoothed."

(there's one opera video, also some newer shows she was invited to participate) Kazuha (the one rapping and very flexible) she was a professional ballerina, that's why her line is "the Pointe shoes I left behind" Eunchae (the girl in the beginning catching a potato? mango?) she's the maknae, the smiling potato of the group, maybe that's a reference ahhahahaa, she's like 15 yo still! I appreciate this kind of video because it also helps me catch up. Not too familiar with any of the groups but honestly these were pretty underwhelming, except for the Le Sserafim track which I quite enjoyed. It had a unique energy and the girls have great voices. EDIT: Also that last one, beautiful melody! Will be checking out more of him.

Le Sserafim Bsides are amazing!! I really really recommend to check them ( not even a reaction, just for your own happiness 😅) . In this ep Yunjin was part of the Writing of 3 of the Bsides and Sakura composed and Wrote one of them. Yunjin, the girl that you like used to be an opera singer, very talented girl. Sakura's, Chaewon's and Kazuha's lines before the chorus refering to their past careers - Sakura was a 7 years jpop idol before izone, debuted in izone for the first time as kpop idol and now Le Sserafim is her third debut. Chaewon was in izone and Kazuha was a professional ballerina, she done it for 15 years.

Lots of references, Here is a one you missed but I dont know why its there. Wheein is wearing pants that says ' I Hate Sunshine', Solar wore those exact same pants on Solarsido in her Moonbyul part switch, where Moobyul sings Honey and Solar sings Lunatic, wearing the I Hate Sunshine pants. Yes I am probably considered insane and simping too much since I recognized such an obscure reference but I have no idea as to why Wheein is wearing the pants nor why Solar hates sunshine? You are probably thinking of Dingga "drink like a like a fish" remember? and they drink absinthe in that one and the scene looks similar. Though mamamoo and doing shots of tequila or other hard liquor is not uncommon and there could be other videos and songs, they drink shots in Wind Flower too. Musical references also, all 3 songs on this album have references to other songs, choreo etc. this one seems to be a musical mix of many older B sides. And of course Mr Ambiguous, Mamamoo probably has the best name of a group simply because the name can be tossed into any song and is so easy to make harmonies with the phonetics of the word mamamoo.
