About Yeji, if you search well enough you can find passable notes for any Soprano below A4 (ig you know that but just saying it so it will be clear) but I guess I can kinda get why you put her where you did for her not too thin tonality and not being completely messy, still find her underwhelming but that is expected.

it's not like her support is well established or anything. they trained her for sure that's why she sounds grounded mostly in her midrange but personally I won't give her a supported range yet.

She isn't cleaner as throughout her range she is nasal, airy and stuck. And stronger is a stretch cuz Lia albeit can sound just as shallow as Yeji at times very easily. And I'm not even insinuating that Yeji is *already* the strongest singer in Itzy, I'm just saying that she has the chance to do so.

I think Jihyo focuses more on improving preformances and stamina (and she's clearly great at it) and if I'm not mistaken she had some regression. Don't know how much Jeongyeon can do since 2020 due her health and injury but I hope she can do it.

Lia said that she was crying during the red performance on day 2 and i think she sounded just fine in day 1. Imo she has a very beautiful voice of course she has wasted potential with jyp not giving her proper training but it's just that her delivery of emotions in the songs touches my heart and i am not just saying that because I kinda root for her people like my brother who hates kpop loves her voice and it's damn time for stan twitter to leave her alone her strength always lied in her honey vocals and people love her for it

My opinion on 'After Like': My favourite part is probably a pre-chorus. It is a pretty nice transition from verses to choruses. Talking about the verses, well, I liked Rei's parts but I find it a little bit underwhelming that the first and the second verse are so similar (identical, I can say). I guess autotune (correct me If the way the vocals were processed is called differently) ruined the chorus and some parts in the verses for me. The bridge was, to my regrets, just a repetition of the chorus. As for raps, I'm happy to hear more from Rei but Gaeul's part was a little bit lackluster. The sample doesn't match so well with the rest of the song and the choreo during it wasn't suitable as well, but I liked that part where the camera moves from the left member to the right one MV has some random scenes, especially their close-ups gave me this feeling

Seems to be the case actually, especially after this new album. Ever since the world tour, her placement has gotten better in her mid range and there's less instances of her sounding tighter and more nasal than back during 2020-2021. There are choice moments where she does get nasal but I don't find it as severe as back in 2021 when her small regression started showing. And now her approach into the 5th octave sounds way better than what she used to be doing since debut so that's a plus. Afaik, she never had B4/C5? Her consistency in support capped at B4, even during her regression. There is always the chance she'll eventually reach that tho since there are some pretty acceptable C5's in the album and if she can do it live then no issue there.

I've seen arguments that Jihyo is stronger than Winter but I find Winter's effort into producing rounder and fuller sounds throughout G4~B4 gives her the edge and Jihyo can still get tighter and more nasal compared to Winter. cmiiw though, its been a while since I really delved into Twice vocals ever since I started focusing on 4th gen last year lol

To add on, besides the obvious Jongho, the second and third is definitely San and Seonghwa, but I don't hear support from either of them from the few clips ive heard. I wouldn't say there's this gap between Jennie and Mina, if anything Mina has more passable moments than Jennie imo. There also isn't this amount of gap between Yeji and Irene, Yeji can support shallowly and inconsistently but Irene has nice low register.

It's actually Jennie > Chaeyoung >= Mina. Chae and Mina are close, only Chae supports to some extent or she doesn't really support imo. Jennie usually is ok w her G4-Bb4 range. Although she has more quirks compared to the two, she actually has some chest presence and better cords.

Yes, he has C3 - F/F#4 and at best B2 - G4 He’s in Average (the better half), Best Lows in 4th Gen for boy groups and best agility overall (maybe tied with Ning)

Personally, a well supported note comes out open, relatively relaxed, clean, grounded and carries the natural weight of one's voice. It's a lot easier to identify support in the voice if we follow through with the standards of vocal support in more classical singing as they really emphasize the proper use of the diaphragm. Support can still be present even with issues such as tension, nasality, etc. but of course if those issues get *too* present in the voice , support gets obstructed and the voice loses that stronger quality. I suggest just comparing singers and the differences in the quality of their voices can get you used to what support should sound like, you can also always just ask questions if youre curious.

@@haely2384 Nmixx always know how to give justice to a cover. Sullyoon had her first F5, two short phrased ones. The first F5 was either flat or she cracked a bit, its kinda hard to hear cuz of the audio quality but she did just fine the second time. Haewon did great lightening up her mix to hit the G5 and Lily sustained a G5 too. Sounded really good considering it's clearly live and they were jumping around.

ATM I'm pretty sure Hanni and Danielle can, Hyein surprised me in Hurt, so I think she may make it to weak. Hyerin may be w to average as well. Minji is just using instinct ATM. If all goes well, 4/5 members can support, with Hanni being the strongest (Danielle is most likely second strongest as well but we'll see). edited: okay I should not have doubted Hyerin potential, w-a In short Hanni - at least w-a Danielle - at least mid to high weak Hyein - Possibly weak Hyerin - possibly w-a Minji - probably not but I'll wait for more materials

I hear it too. Maybe it has something to do with her throaty style of singing adding this "weight" to her voice? Tbh I don't even know if you can call it "weight" but it adds some type of depth to her voice, similar to how Bae sounds when she sings super stylistically. But then... whenever J sings without that forced and unnatural deep voice, she's pretty much a full on light soprano. But yeah ig we can't really know for sure cuz she isn't well developed

True. But I think it's just that non singers just rarely tell the difference between singers with good and bad techniques. They just like the one that 'sounds good', and stylistic singers with unique voices tend to be the ones that stand out.

She's not far from being low w, but i wouldn't say she supports, she's pretty pitchy and shaky and that itself indicates a poor legato and a lack of control over her voice

In enhypen Heeseung,jay,sunoo and jungwon support (same level as taehyun but jungwon seems to be weaker sue to his nasality). In skz seungmin support shallow and I.N can be very inconsistent with support as he too has nasality issues So the ranking would be Seungmin>taehyun=Heeseung=sunoo=jay=Jungwon> I.N However jay and jungwon are a bit weaker than sunoo and Heeseung but still in the same tier. Heeseung and Sunoo are interchangeable

@@zett1807 It depends, how much advantage in your opinion does Solji have in C4-G#4 due to her natural much more weighty voice? Because she’s definetly much more intense and more belt-like in that range than Yerin (especially below F#4, which Yerin tends to sing them like low notes).

I heard she was weak to average? Not sure about her supported range though. I feel like she would’ve moved to average if she continued (wasn’t kicked out of *cough cough*) with Momoland. She had potential.

yeah my guess is that if she shows support on her mid range it’d be slightly ahead of what chaeyoung/mina do. but that’s only really a guess, we can’t really know for sure

(Edit: Her peak ranking was above average, not average to above average. Thank you for correcting me!) Currently she’s ranked as (high I think?) average with a supported range of A3/Bb3 - B4/C5. Her peak rank was at average to above-average (A3/Bb3 - C#5). She also had a resonant range of G4-C#5. Even with the resonant range, I don’t think she would’ve ranked at above-average to proficient or even above-average as she’s never supported her head voice and her low register is below average. Anyone cmiiw though, it’s what I’ve gathered so far haha
