I would raccomend Mamamoo music hearing what her taste is at the beginning, a lot of Mamamoo starting sound is jazzy and retro this was a more recent one they have a very diverse sounds, they're versatile and they're string point is vocals not only they have really diverse style and sounds with they're solo career too they also have some hip hop songs but it's not a lot 1cm sleep in the car and these are some really funny one 😂 but i also raccomend Mamamoo rapper line they're very good MoonByul and Hwasa, MoonByul has a song called moon movie and Hwasa has a song called i do me that show their rapping more than group songs and Hwasa unfortunately doesn't rap as much these days 😔 hope you would enjoy them ☺️

All the groups are great but I am a Moomoo and deep into the Solar System for my bias. HIP doesnt really showcase their extreme vocal talents. Suggest the Dingo Killing Voice medley, Immortal songs and a very recent live video Mamamoo Hit Song's Live Collection which was released on the Hwasa Show of two full songs in between a medley of other songs and their solos. Their back story is they were told they are not pretty by korean standards, short, underweight for some, too much curve and dark skin for hwasa, faces wrong, so the only way they could succeed would be to become the ultimate live vocalists and performers, so they did it. They are at the top with the worlds best vocalists and this song HIP is sort of an F U to the fools calling them not pretty, though is also dissing the entire concept of popularity, especially in social media.

BLACKPINK's success and global reach has made them the biggest girl group in the K-Pop world.

Ok..let's get to some recommendation 1. Mamamoo - the younger Queens of vocals. Multi genre 2. G-Idle - the most unpredictable of all Kpop groups. All of hip hop sound. 3. Dreamcatcher- the group with an awesome metal and rock sound. The dark angels of Kpop. 4. Rolling Quartz - an actual all girl rock band. 5. Big Mama - the elder Queens of vocals. Total RnB sound. Laura seems to be interested in different genres so she will for sure love diving into mamamoo's music which is so diverse. They debuted with a jazz sound and then released songs from different genres for the past 10 years of their career. You can find different types of playlists solely from mamamoo's discography. These ladies have 300+ songs under their belt and all members are soloists with different styles of music. Plus the fact that they are incredible vocalists who harmonize for fun. Like, I can't stan other groups cause my standards are now so high because of them.

For next video I think you should go with Dreamcatcher, Red Velvet, and (G) I-DLE. Each one has their own unique sound a style.

Yes, Mamamoo is a mature group in a number of ways, tho their maturity is a bit of a joke among the fandom because their duality as serious artists vs total crackheads is legendary. Mamamoo debuted in 2014 so they've been around longer than Blackpink & Twice and they're one of the most senior girl groups still active. The members were born between 1991-95. Here's some info about kpop girl group formation, group concept and musical style and how Mamamoo is different, which also makes them seem more mature than most girl groups: Most kpop groups have a style of music that matches their group concept, which you see here with Blackpink's 'girl crush' and Twice's 'cute' group concept reflected in their songs. Nothing wrong with that but Mamamoo takes a different approach that doesn't limit them to a specific style of music or any particular group concept. Rather than the usual kpop formula of assembling a girl group to fit a pre-conceived marketing concept such as cute, innocent, sexy or girl crush, Mamamoo's label RBW decided to select members based on their vocal talent and creativity and promote them as artists rather than teen idols. They're free to follow their musical interests and experiment with different styles and genres and as a result Mamamoo has an extremely diverse discography that ranges from jazz, swing, r&b, hip hop and latin pop to reggaeton, bossa nova, ballads, EDM, pop dance tracks and more. Hip wasn't intended to be a vocal showcase but Mamamoo has long been considered to be the vocal gold standard among kpop girl groups. As we see in Hip they're not afraid to stand up for themselves and take a stand on social issues and their music often contains messages of self-love, empowerment and acceptance of others for their uniqueness and individuality. All of which adds up to a group that has a more mature vibe than most kpop groups. They're considered to be role models by younger idols, girls and women in general and I think their example has helped to relax kpop's unhealthy and unrealistic beauty and body standards and open the door for more creative involvement by the current generation of idols. I can't say that all of the sets and clothing choices mean/symbolize something. But there is a lot of consideration put into all of it. It's interesting how K-pop can be simultaneously very upbeat and cheery. Yet still cover some very deep or even dark subject matter. And still convey uplifting messages. HIP is a great example. They show multiple "realties" in which each member is living a different life choice. And is meant to convey the message that you should be comfortable with yourself. And not put too much importance on what other people think about you. (Paraphrasing here)

I think these people that pick one group and only support one group are ridiculous. Diversity is the spice of life. Some of the older groups are dope too so don’t forget them(AOA,EXID,SNSD,KARA,& the list goes on). Others you mentioned are a must as well (Itzy, G-idle, etc). Rock on, I mean, Kpop on! Subunit Mamamoo+ with Solar and Moonbyul will release an album at the beginning of August. They just released their pre-single 'save me'. Equally exciting will be Hwasa's first and hopefully full album with her new agency and Wheein is also working hard on her next album this moment. I like both their solos and all four as a group. I think their four different personalities create their own look and sound with something recognizable. Even that other groups produce good songs and achieve much more success, it's Mamamoo who are most familiar to me with their personalities, artistic creations and recognizable. They also have a special connection with their fans.

I hope you'll show her a video of Dreamcatcher, preferably in suits.

Totally spot on starting off with these three 3rd gen group as they were absolute best of their class with 3 distinctive sound (4th group choice would be Red Velvet of course, but they do overlap a lil with the other 3 group). However i think maybe two songs from each group from different comebacks would be more fun to see! Enjoy your k-pop journey!
