The silver line project in Kerala which is also known as the K-Rail project is undergoing issues. This is one of the biggest projects for rail development in Kerala's history. This Thiruvananthapuram Kasargod Semi-Hhighspeed rail corridor connects the south and north of Kerala within just 4 hours. This project is facing technical and social questions from all around. This video discusses the issues and questions raised along with the project specifications of the silver line project of the K rail.

കെ-റെയിൽ പദ്ധതി എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന കേരളത്തിലെ സിൽവർ ലൈൻ പദ്ധതി പ്രശ്‌നത്തിലാണ്. കേരളത്തിന്റെ ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ റെയിൽ വികസന പദ്ധതികളിൽ ഒന്നാണിത്. ഈ തിരുവനന്തപുരം കാസർകോട് സെമി-ഹൈസ്പീഡ് റെയിൽ ഇടനാഴി കേവലം 4 മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളിൽ കേരളത്തിന്റെ തെക്കും വടക്കും ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഈ പ്രോജക്റ്റ് എല്ലായിടത്തുനിന്നും സാങ്കേതികവും സാമൂഹികവുമായ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ നേരിടുന്നു. കെ റെയിലിന്റെ സിൽവർ ലൈൻ പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രോജക്ട് സ്പെസിഫിക്കേഷനുകൾക്കൊപ്പം ഉന്നയിക്കുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങളും ചോദ്യങ്ങളും ഈ വീഡിയോ ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നു.

ഇത്‌ കൊണ്ട് ആണ്‌ നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യം ഇന്നു developing country ആയി തന്നെ നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നത്. ഇവിടത്തെ ജനങ്ങളുടെ ചിന്താഗതി ആദ്യം തന്നെ മാറ്റണും. First ആദ്യം ഇ video ഇട്ട ആള്‍ തന്നെ പറഞ്ഞുതു broad guage ഇല്‍ ഇത് possible അല്ല ഇ speed കിട്ടു ഇല്ല, എന്നു ഒക്കെ. ആരു എന്തു എങ്കിലും പറയട്ടെ but സ്വയം ചിന്തിച്ചു നോക്കാം എല്ലാം. നമുക്ക് വേറെ ഒരു രാജ്യം കൊറച്ച് കാശ് കടം തരുന്നു എന്ന് വെച്ച് അവര്‍ പറയുന്ന പോലെ ആണോ ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്. നമ്മുടെ നാടിനു ഏതു ആണ് better എന്ന് നോക്ക് ഇട്ടു അതു ആണ് ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്. അല്ലാതെ ആരേലും കാശ് തരും എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ്‌ അത് കൊണ്ട്‌ മേടിച്ചു വെക്കുക അല്ല വേണ്ടത്‌. ബ്രോഡ് guage ഇല്‍ ഇത് possible ആണ്‌, broad guage ആകുമ്പോള്‍ cargo goods, ഉ കൊണ്ട് പോകാൻ പറ്റും. നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്ത് ഇത്രയും കാശ് മുടക്കി ഒരു പ്രോജക്റ്റ് ചെയ്തിട്ടു ഗുണം ഇല്ലാതെ പോകുന്നതില്‍ ഉള്ള സങ്കടം കൊണ്ട്‌ പറഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നതാ.

ഇത്രയും സ്ഥലം ഏറ്റടുത്തു ചെയ്യുകയാണേൽ ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ technology കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതാണ് നല്ലത് - high speed (350+ km/h) or maglev( 430+ km/h ). 130 km/h ആവറേജ് വേഗത മാത്രം ആണ് ( max speed -200 km/h ) പ്ലാൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതെങ്കിൽ ഇപ്പോഴുള്ള റെയിൽവേ ലൈൻ അടുത്ത് തന്നെ വളവുകൾ നിവർത്താൻ വേണ്ട കുറച്ചു സ്ഥലം മാത്രം ഏറ്റടുത്തു 200km/ h സ്പീഡിൽ വളരെ കുറച്ചു പണം ചിലവിൽ ട്രെയിൻ ഓടിക്കാം.

Valavukal nivarthaan സ്ഥലം ഏറ്റെടുക്കുന്നത് k rail പോലെ തന്നെ complication ഉള്ളതാണ്, ഇപ്പോഴുള്ള signaling സംവിധാനം വച്ച് ഇത് നടക്കില്ല, അത് മുഴുവന്‍ മാറ്റേണ്ടി വരും... Keralathiloode ഓടുന്ന trains മിക്കതും അവരും ഇതുപോലെ mattaatha പക്ഷം trains ഇത്തരത്തിൽ maattunnathine പറ്റീ Indian railway ക്ക് chindikaan കഴിയില്ല.... നിലവില്‍ india യില്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ ഓടുന്നത് വിരലില്‍ ennaavunna services മാത്രം ആണ്‌..... ഇവിടെ 34 services ഡെയ്ലി.... Its a huge difference

Double the existing rail line, straighten the curve sections and Indian railways is already improving signalling infra and launching faster trains. No proper reason for Kerala govt to spend 5x money and build a new standard gauge track. Also - there is no confidence in Kerala Govt’s capability given their poor track record in running down ksrtc and kochi metros mounting losses

സിൽവർലൈൻ തീർച്ചയായും വേണമെന്നാണ് എൻ്റെ അഭിപ്രായം. റോഡുകൾ എത്രതന്നെ പരിഷ്കരിച്ചാലും സിൽവർലൈനിന് പകരമാകില്ല. ഉറച്ച തീരുമാനമെടുക്കുന്ന, ഇച്ഛാശക്തിയുമുള്ള ഒരു ഭരണാധികാരിയുടെ കാലത്ത്മാത്രമെ കേരളംപോലൊരു സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഇത്തരം പദ്ധതികള്‍ നടപ്പിലാക്കാന്‍ കഴിയൂ. അതായത് ഈ പദ്ധതിയുടെ പണി ഇപ്പോള്‍ത്തന്നെ ആരംഭിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ , പിന്നീട് ഏത് പാർട്ടി ഭരിച്ചാലും ,ഭാവികേരളത്തിന് അനിവാര്യമായ ഈ പദ്ധതി നടപ്പിലാകില്ല. ഇക്കാര്യം നന്നായി അറിയാവുന്നതുകൊണ്ടായിരിക്കണം ശശിതരൂരിനെപ്പോലുള്ളവർ രാഷ്ട്രീയം മറന്ന് ഈ പദ്ധതിയെ അനുകൂലിക്കുന്നത്.

But u will have to spend high cost to travel in it. So very few people will travel in it and this project will be a big loss. Which one will u choose , travelling from trivandrum to kochi at rs 200 to 300 in indian railways within 3 to 4 hrs or rs 1000 in k rail within 1 hr.

ഏറ്റവും ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന രണ്ട് concerns. 1) financial viability (നഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടാകാൻ സാധ്യത ഉണ്ട്, union govt. not supportive, കേരളം കടക്കെണിയിൽ ആകും) 2) environmental impact assessment ( ഇപ്പൊൾ തന്നെ പ്രളയങ്ങൾ രണ്ട് ആയി)..

പദ്ധതി നല്ലത് തന്നെ ആണ് വികസനം വരണം സമയം ആണ് ഇനി എറ്റവും വിലയുള്ള ഒന്ന്,പക്ഷെ കെ എസ്‌ ആർ ടി ക്ക്(KURTC) ലഭിച്ച വോൾവോ ac BUS ന്റെ എല്ലാം ഇന്നത്തെ അവസ്ഥ കാണുമ്പോൾ ആണ് പേടി.... പിന്നെ ട്രെയിന് ഇറങ്ങി ബാക്കി യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്ന വീതി കുറവുള്ള റോഡ് കളും വികസിക്കട്ടെ ...

വരും കാലത്ത് കേരളവും മലയാളികളും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അല്ലെ ഇതൊക്കെ ആവശ്യം ഉള്ളത്??? 8:49തൊട്ടു കേൾക്കു. പിന്നെ സമയം..... ഈ മോളിൽ കൂടി പോകുന്നവന് മാത്രമല്ല സമയം..... 300km ഇൽ embankment കെട്ടുമ്പോൾ എത്ര cross road ഇല്ലാതാകും?? അവരുടെ സമയത്തിന് ഒന്നും വിലയില്ലേ?? സാമൂഹ്യ ആഘാത പഠനവും, പാരിസ്ഥിതിക ആഘാത പഠനവും നടത്താതെ യുള്ള ഒരു പ്രോജക്റ്റിനെ പറ്റിയാണ് ഈ പൊക്കി അടിക്കുന്നത്. കണ്ണൂരും തിരുവനന്തപുരം വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്.... ഈ തുകയ്ക്ക് അത്യാവശ്യം ഉള്ളവർക്ക് പ്ലെയിനിൽ പോയാൽ പോരേ?? 1hr കൊണ്ട് എത്തും. സമയ ലാഭം.... പരിസ്ഥിതി നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ട.... ആർക്കും സ്ഥലം നഷ്ടപ്പെടില്ല... ഇത്രയും സാമ്പത്തികബാധ്യത സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന് ഉണ്ടാവുകയുമില്ല

പ്രളയത്തെ പേടിച്ച് ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കാൻ പറ്റുവോ...... കേരളത്തിൽ 2018 ലേ ഒഴികെ പ്രളയങ്ങൾ എന്ന് നമ്മൾ പറയുന്നവയിൽ അധികവും കാര്യമായി ബാധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് കിഴക്കൻ മേഖലകളെ ആണ്..... സമതലങ്ങളിലൂടെയും, തീരതുകൂടിയും പോകുന്ന ഈ പദ്ധതി വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം ഉണ്ടാക്കും എന്ന് പറയുന്നതിൽ വല്യ കാര്യമില്ല.... പുഴകളിൽ നിർമിക്കുന്ന പാലങ്ങൾ ആവശ്യത്തിന് ഉയരത്തിലും , നീളത്തിലും പണിതാൽ ഇതുകൊണ്ട് വെള്ളപ്പൊക്ക ഭീഷണി ഉണ്ടാകില്ല

Express highway വേണ്ടതായിരുന്നു. റോഡിലൂടെ സ്വന്തം വണ്ടിയിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാൻ പിന്നേം ആളുകൾ തയ്യാറായേനെ. അത് സമരം ചെയ്ത് പൊളിച്ചു. ഇവിടെ മെട്രോയിലോ, ട്രെയിനിലെ ഉയർന്ന compartmentലോ പോലും ആളുകൾ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല. വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങളും നഷ്ടത്തിൽ.

Niti ayog is comparing an elevated line with at a grade line.The cost in elevated construction is more than building track at ground.That makes the cost reduction.Delhi meerut RRTS is also elevated and at many places under ground. If there are issues government should address it.Same project if you take up in 2030 cost will be 6 times more than now.

I think it is better to go with fully elevated tracks. Less land needs to be acquired in that case, less damage to environment, less disruption to other constructions and can easily be upgraded to high speed in the future.

I think doubling the railway track is comparatively cost-effective and practical solution towards the goal of faster transportation across Kerala. K-Rail is a very good concept. But looking at the total estimate of 1,33,000 crore, it seems to be practically difficult to recover the investment and gain profit, especially from the experience of kochi metro.

@@amcomingforu440 For K-Rail, are they ready to support us ? I just meant whoever going to invest on this, should primarily check if this project is financially viable to recover the investment cost. If it looks difficult, they should switch to an alternative cost-effective solution.

I know u will come up with money is needed anyways and it is coming from us only . Btw many govt projects never gained any profit still running on debt .look at ksrtc

@@ajas8749 I agree with your point of public welfare. If it is a project of sheltering the homeless or feeding hungry, yes we should not look at the financial side. But this is an infrastructure development project. Infra-dev is of course inevitable. But it doesn't make sense to jump into a huge debt without considering the cheaper alternatives. If the Rail fails to collect, how will we repay the loan? Simply by hiking the tax which will again make the same public's life miserable.

That is the only solution that works. Krail silverline is eternal stupidity. With 200+ curves and 400+ variations in elevation the train can never run on high speed. On top of that if magically it runs the passengers will just vomit. This is just the tip of the ice berg. The speed is a scam. You can run fast train in existing tracks with limited stops many of current trains will reach the same speed of silverline. Instead of point ot point elevated run along a straight line it's just a parallel line next to existing rail in most places. There are hundreds of such stupidity but I am astounded that malayalees are so stupid that they are supporting such a bogus project. Nobody is raising these relevant questions.. 9nly dialogues like money is time blah blah lol are you malayalees living in a movie ?

ഒറ്റ കാര്യം, ഈ പദ്ധതി നടത്തിയാൽ ഇതിൻെറ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ആൾക്കാർക്ക് കിട്ടുന്ന കമ്മീഷൻ എങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും അവർക്ക് കൊടുത്താൽ ഈ പദ്ധതി ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ? എങ്കിൽ അതാണ് ലാഭം. ഈ പദ്ധതി മൂലം ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന കെടുതികൾ ചെറുതല്ല. അതു സാമ്പത്തികം ആയാലും പാരിസ്ഥിതികം ആയാലും. തീർച്ചയായും തലമുറകളുടെ നെഞ്ചത്ത് താഴ്ത്തുന്ന കഠാര യാണ് കേ റയിൽ പദ്ധതി അഥവാ സിൽവർലൈൻ പ്രോജക്ട്. താൻ ആണ് ഈ പദ്ധതി വിഭാവന ചെയ്തത്, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ തൻെറ ഭരണ കാലത്താണ് ഈ പദ്ധതി നടപ്പിലായത് എന്ന് കേ മത്തത്തിനു വേണ്ടി മാത്രം ഒരാൾ തുനിഞ്ഞിറങ്ങിയാൽ എന്തു ചെയ്യും. (പക്ഷേ ഏത് മൂഢനാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കിയതെന്ന് മാത്രമാകും പിൻ തലമുറ പഴിക്കുന്നത്. മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാർ കരാർ പോലെ.)അത്തരം ഒരു പൊങ്ങുതടിയെ മുന്നിൽ നിർത്തി ഉപദേശക സമിതിക്കാരും കമ്മീഷൻ കൈപ്പറ്റുന്ന വരും ചേർന്ന് നടക്കുന്ന ഒരു തട്ടിക്കൂട്ട് പരിപാടിയാണ് കേ റയിൽ. നിലവിൽ കേരളം മൂന്നര ലക്ഷം കോടി രൂപ കടത്തിലാണ്. അതിനുള്ള പലിശ കടം വാങ്ങിച്ചിട്ട് ആണ് കൊടുക്കുന്നത്. കേ റയിൽ പദ്ധതി എന്ന് പൂർത്തിയാകും ആവോ. എന്നു പൂർത്തിയായാലും അതിനു വേണ്ടി വന്ന ചെലവിനുള്ള പലിശ ആര് കൊടുക്കും എങ്ങനെ കൊടുക്കും. വിധി.

K rail can do one thing by taking Southern Railway as a working partner. K Rail can aquire sufficient land so as to get the existing railway line to straighten and add two more lines so as to get a speed between 300 to 500 kmph in the existing line. Additional infra structure as decided by k rail can implement and run additional trains as private participation

This video provided all kinds of information involved in this disputed project. Technical as well as commercial information can also try to add the approximate escalating costs since you mentioned. Adequate information is there but still if you explain the relevant commercial implications that would be great assistant for Quantity Surveyors (QS) point of view. Great effort Alex, A comprehensive video regarding KRAIL in the midst of the controversial reporting by mainstream media. You have clearly highlighted the relevance as well the doubts of the project. After watching the video what i feel is the government should move forward with this project by addressing the genuine concerns of people. One more point regarding broad gauge I don't think broad gauge standard gauge difference will create such a big issue. Consider the case of kochi krail railway station proposed at kakkand. We already have a wateretro connnectivity work in progress which connects kakkanad to vytilla hub and metro which in turn connects it to kochi city. Providing adequate feeder services and integrating it to mobile applications is the solution. Morever the broad gauge railways are completly under Indian railway which for atleast 15 years have not contributed anything significant to our state.

200km is very useful for kerala purposes, it should be 8 lane as we need to also look into future. If we can get 90 percent land acquisition we can get a good transportation mode to travel across kerala
