@@crustyk1ller968 It's a SONG contest, not a singing contest. Loreen is an amazing singer and performer no doubt, but Tattoo was very disappointing for a winning song. Painfully generic lyrics and a dated sound that fits in 2012. Loreen is a great singer, but it's so disappointing that in a contest full of fresh, creative and modern entries, the most safe and conservative option that offered nothing new or interesting won.

The juries are so boring, they just favor conventionally "good music" instead of stuff that's actually fun - while the people love the latter! Croatia got 111 more points from the public than Switzerland this year, and Finland got 133 more than Sweden last year! The people's favorites are very clear. Other countries also have major discrepancies between jury and public votes, again showing a pattern where juries favor conventional stuff and the public favors fun stuff.

Besides when the corrupcy of eurovision finally gets laid bare this is gonna be one of the main agruments on why its corrupt. This man had more televotes and 12 pointers than Maneskin or Duncan Laurence, he even had more than Heroes in time. So why did the jury all choose one person? Cause Loreen just happened to be a Swede and next year just so happens to be ABBA´s 50 year aniversery.

And since Graham was the one speaking, she took on the role of trying to get the audience to calm down. I'm sure if they didn't have to get on with the programme, they would've happily joined in.

Yep. That's the reason I watch a lot of vids recorded by the audience. Especially those from the upper sections; you can see the great light design & hear the whole crowd sing along. The vocals sound better from the audience, too. ✨✨✨✨✨

@@Piia2023 You are right. I usually don't watch ESC ( couldn't care less ) but this year something -intuition you can say- got me to follow this from UMK forward. And boy, my intuition was right again ( it has been right many times in different things ). Sadly to say, I won't be watching ESC again if my intuition is silent and I think it will be so many years to come. But I will follow Käärijä and his blooming career, that is sure.😊.

Here after the jury *did it again* this year! Kaarija and Baby Lasagna won the hearts and the votes of the people. From last years competition people remembered Kaarrija's not Loreen's boring song. And from 2024 people will remember Rim Tim Tagi Dim! Nemo who?

Well, most magical thing for me over all the weird and great ones was when we sent a band of 4 mentally disabled men who spend their lives in care homes. That is a bold move without maybe looking for the victory, but they gave a voice and chance to mentally disabled, who else does it? Band was called Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät.

This guy deserved the trophy more than anyone else. He: - sang in his own language - blew everyone away in the arena - got the most points from the people by a significant margin - conveyed an awesome message; don’t be afraid of the world, embrace your individuality. What else could someone do to win? Loreen is talented, but Tattoo was no Euphoria.

I came here to understand why so many people voted for a song and a stage performance that i found gross. Reading comments like this makes me guess: People celebrate this guy for embracing this freaky (and for my taste awkward) style and having the balls bringing it to the public. If you think he deserved the win you do you but 1 question I still have: how is the arena crowd singing the song an argument for the own vote? It's like : because others find it cool I find it cool too?

I Never seen anything like the crowd chanting Cha Cha Cha so loud enough to overwhelm the presenters so that they couldn’t continue talking. Cha Cha Cha was all over the arena. That says enough about who’s the ACTUAL winner.

Kaarjira return to metal with a techno mix. Metal and techno, this is as much a British legacy as it can be. No one was robbed. In fact, public almost let Israel win. You think that has anything to do with music at this point? Public failed this contest, not the jury. Just be happy someone actually won for their music. Croatia wasn't better. Their song was the definition of simple, brainless and catchy music. Not saying it was bad, I enjoyed it, but nowhere near Nemo's performance. If you don't want to accept that it's fine. Everyone has different taste and opinions. But saying a guy who sang "rim tim tagi dim" was better than a guy who showed of an insane vocal range, three different types of style and dnb is honestly a joke at this point. @@Kolious_ThraceYou're wrong, you don't need alcohol when a masterpiece like this exists. This song and his other music makes you party like crazy even without alcohol, that is the truth! I know, I have been there, seen it at his gigs. And say what you will about his singing, it's your opinion, not everyone's opinion. The stage was big in that arena and he gave hell of a show there. It's no wonder if he was a little out of breath, he is a human being. And to me it makes him the best singer, I can relate to him and connect with him. I love his singing and his voice❣️

@@santtu7098Well, the first part is like a carbon copy of Rammstein's song, and he does it quite well. But in the later part his singing isn't good. I personaly think of the first part to be far superior, and that's quite sad considering it wasn't his creation. It's a fun song, but taste in music is different and to me it leaves a sour feeling, because it's copied.

@@themount6549Ok. I don't think there is any music in this world that hasn't gotten influence and inspiration from some other music. And they have told openly that they have been inspired by Rammstein. This song is still unique, it's not a copy imo. But like you said taste in music is different, and that's totally ok! You don't have to like this or his singing, I only said I love it, that there's different opinions about it. I've heard him sing live and he is far better singer in reality, I know that this show here was hard and affected a little bit. And he is a rapper in the first place.

@@Morsning Well, ESC wins don't really matter either. Most people don't even remember most of the ESC winners, while unique acts like Dschinghis Khan turn into memes that are still remembered 40 years later. I wouldn't be surprised if the same happens to Käärijä - everybody remembers him, not who actually won.

@DeltaSilver88 Honestly, I think that if Loreen's 2023 victory is remembered, it'll be more as an injustice. Without that massive jury lead, she never would have won. Her song is alright, I like it, but it's just not "Eurovision" enough for a lot of people, including me. As a Finn, I could have some bias here, but also... the crowd went wild with Cha Cha Cha, and the massive audience vote shot us right to second place - for a bit we were in first place before Sweden's audience points were added - so we know who the people preferred. Plus, the jury almost completely ignored Norway, Alessandra deserved more points than she got. The audiences at least appreciated her performance, though.

@@fieratheproud Finn here myself, my comment was more a dig at Loreen's fanbase than anything. Just saying she'll fall into obscurity like the rest of the winners in a few decades, while everybody will remember "CHA CHA CHA". :D Just like they remember "Dsching-Dsching-Dschinghis Khan!".
