fun fact but gidle do have official colors. cube rarely uses them anymore but it’s miyeon - black minnie - blue soojin - red soyeon - pink yuqi - green shuhua - yellow they previously used them for their first two mini album covers as well as photocard backs. I believe the last time we saw them officially acknowledged and used by cube was on the logo on each member’s individual dumdi dumdi teasers

Honestly, this line distribution isn't absolute accurate reflected cause Minnie wrote many songs, and in her own songs, she will usually sing more instead of title. Actually in Super lady Queencard Klaxon those title, she doesn't have lots part if you observed clearly. Btw, Those people who are saying Miyeon should sing more parts, the parts she sing always the chorus, it's memorable and attracting, sadly, chorus are always short. Anyway, Minnie is also a main vocalist, she totally deserved

Shuhua has a lovely voice but lacks confidence and stability. Soyeon gives her just enough lines for her to be confortable in the songs. People need to understand that idols are different, and as much as unfair line distributions exist Soyeon does the best she can for her members.

None of the members care about the line distribution and had always put trust on whoever fits the line will always get it. I don't get people when they say they deserve better than another member. I would not like to see members like Miyeon and Minnie straining themselves go do something like Super Lady, or Yuqi getting high pitched lines and even Shuhua as well. They're all placed perfectly based on how good they sound and I'm glad that as a group they're happy with that.

Honestly it's not that ridiculous since there are only 5 members and Idle has a lot of raps so it makes sense that the main rapper is also part of top 3 and Yuqi has a pretty standout voice they've been incorporating a lot in their more recent songs - obviosly it'd make more sense if Miyeon was part of top3 but it's also not that horrible either

I wish someone would made one of these but including the OT5 version of OT6 songs and their covers live Abracadabra and That Thart + their add songs like Ninety Nine. I feel like the results would be way more even (I dont think its on purpose but I find it treally interesting how Shuhua actually gets many lines in songs that aren't idles. She is one of the tops in both the mentioned covers AND Ninety Nine).

In tomboy, nxde, and queencard era miyeon had the second least lines. In Heat album, 2, and I sway, she had most of the lines, why? Because she's the one who fitted the most. And wdym by she's not main vocalist anymore, she's still the best vocalist in the group, and she already proved it with her solo album.

Do realize that Miyeon usually loses the ranks by a few seconds in most of the OT5 comebacks. It's not as unfair as the rankings may make it seem like. Plus, (G)I-DLE loves cool delivery spoken/rap parts in their songs, especially as of late. Soyeon clearly prefers Miyeon's singing tone to her speaking/rapping tone most of the time, which limits Soyeon's use cases for her. Not to say her spoken parts don't come to play! She just tends to have a much cuter tone, and Soyeon has to work extra hard to get bad girl energy from Miyeon, and that's okay!! Her cute tone worked so well on Queencard, and she pulled off some of those bad girl mannerisms in Super Lady! It also has to do with Soyeon wanting to make her members shine equally, and it's objective that each member has different skills in different amounts, so Soyeon incorporates the members according to those skills. Miyeon is an INCREDIBLE vocalist and would outshine all the other members if she had more parts, imo. Her "slightly shorter" sung parts tend to make her shine plenty without outshining other members.

1) No one in music academia is using that stupid ranking and none of the KZfaq vocal "experts" knows what they are talking about (otherwise, they'd been busy making money by coaching instead of having to rely on fan biased KZfaq videos). 2) Vocal technique and musicality really are not important for Kpop - no one in Gidle is a skilled technical vocalist. The lines distributions are based on tone and versatility: Miyeon is not a worse singer than Minnie, but she has a less distinct and genre versatile tone than Minnie and Yuqi. She also doesn't compose and probably has less interest in singing/music than the producer line. I'm sure no one in Gidle gives a fuck about line distribution and who has millisecond more in one song
