Hello my friends, welcome back to the garage!
Everyone new; please check out the playlists on the channel for various projects!
Today, I am dealing with a recurring problem on the 4.0L - leaking fuel injectors. I have replaced the O-Rings on these injectors twice, so it's time for something different.
I picked up some K-Suspension 12 Hole Injectors online. If I am going to pull the fuel system apart again, I may as well upgrade something at the same time!
Please remember to like, subscribe, and comment any thoughts!
Thanks everyone!

I just found you comment on project farm and saw you had a jeep project like myself and I didn’t expect us to have the same jeep, really cool that happened!

I really enjoyed this video. You’ve got great energy and I appreciated the POV view (streaming to your phone). KZfaq rankings can be tough to break into, but I hope to see you make more videos.

I want to give the 12 hole inyectors a try in my 99 dodge durango,is the 5.2 v8 magnum hopefully I will see a difference ,i am also running a bored out throttle body and some mods inside the intake manifold.

@@MrMany2811 It's not anything huge. I noticed my misfires are gone and throttle response is snappy. I clearly had an injector that was tired. If someone does this upgrade and he or she doesn't have any injector issues, you will barely notice anything. It's just a tiny tweak to performance. Thanks for watching and commenting your plans!

@@inawrocki207 thanks for the info,i keep tracing some random misfires ,but actually the randoms are gone,now is just misfire on number 8,comes and goes , sometimes stays gone forever then magically appears ,i tracked everything down to either sticky valve or bad compression on that cylinder,maybe a weak spring ,or something mechanical...i do have spare oem inyectors ,and done swapped several ,i believe they all work fine but hard telling...i don't think is anything electrical either.

@@MrMany2811 I, personally, was thinking it sounds electrical. A sticking valve will just sort of happen regularly. Bad compression will also tend to have a pattern (it'll be fine, then misfire as everything warms up or vice-versa). If it's truly random, that sounds like an electrical connection is loose or failing randomly during bumps and driving. You should definitely come back and comment for everyone when you do figure out the exact cause, though!

You are! That's really awesome, friend. I appreciate the sub. Life threw a lot at us January this year, so the channel had to take a break. Rest assured, we're coming back soon!

I recently bought the Coil kit for my TJ, and it replaced the original coil pack without any issues. KSuspension was top notch. After watching your video, I looking forward to the KS 12 port injectors, and his battery cable upgrade. Thanks for your video, it's excellent ! Personally though, I prefer the older vehicles. I started with a Commando, then went to a CJ 5, then CJ 7, then a YJ. the TJ is the newest Jeep model I will ever buy. I don't like the new models. Four Doors ? Lol buy a Van !

Thanks so much for your views and comment! I am also looking to get "the big 7," to revitalize all of my ground cables. Just FYI, I've now had these injectors over a year and they're still perfect - you won't be disappointed. Also, I do absolutely love 4WD vans, lol. I've seen a few tastefully lifted for over landing and they're so awesome. I just won't ever get rid of this Jeep, my first vehicle. No need for another vehicle, since I don't have anywhere to put a third yet!

Thanks for the video! Had a question about your headliner. I noticed the little pins in the headliner. Are those to hold it up and if so what did you use? TIA
@inawrocki207

Hey, thanks. Those are "saggy stoppers." You can get them anywhere or order online. They are a little corkscrew pin that just keeps headliners up. I had actually done this headliner myself a few years ago; it's not sagging, but I figured it eventually would and the pinned look works in an older Jeep.

@@dAFTagent6969 I don't have codes but my fuel consumption is very high. So you probably have a issue with the car not optimizing the fuel based on the new supply. Supposedly the car auto learns 500 miles. I would disconnect the battery and see if that fixes it. Otherwise wait for 500 miles then disconnect the battery and see. Worst case you will have to get the car professionally tuned.

@@dAFTagent6969 maybe your mass airflow sensor is dirty. Try cleaning or replacing it. Also check all vacuum lines and air filter. All the best.

How are you getting enough air to that much fuel
@inawrocki207
@inawrocki207 Жыл бұрын
It doesn't really give you much more fuel, just gives a really nice atomized mist for the ignition. The OBD I is always adjusting small changes regardless, that's the nature of these old Renix engines. No need to make other changes when switching to these injectors.

How was fuel economy after this upgrade?
@inawrocki207
@inawrocki207 Жыл бұрын
It went from "Horrible" to "Just about as horrible." Lol There's nothing you can do to make a 4.0l stop guzzling, really. This upgrade is more about quality of life and longevity for the engine, providing smoother uniform performance when running, reducing misfires, that stuff.

Hello Do you have an estimate of miles per gallon I am very curious I am between the 4 hole and the 12 Please And how do you feel the power now?
@inawrocki207
@inawrocki207 2 жыл бұрын
I think this Jeep is measured in gallons per mile... :P You have to realize my engine is absolutely shot. That said, these injectors have eliminated my misfires. It starts so fast, runs so smooth. I noticed a little power I didn't have, but I still have to floor it everywhere until I get a full engine rebuild.
