Im delighted (without sounding rude) that finally someone has heard my lecture about what L55 stands for lol K2 could be 3rd overall but CR2 & Leo2A6 arent back yard tanks, more commercial, K2 will defo be 1 backyard and 2nd best tank in the commercial market. Composite armour on the K2 withstood a L55 SABOT during tests. Leo2A6 armour is old hat before they developed the L55 & its larger rounds, so wont take the punishment.

I'm sorry I cant understand what you mean? The Leo2A6 armour is very old. The K2 doesnt start production for another 2yrs, they have already developed the PIP and I'm sure there will be more changes.

defo mate. Armour on Leo2 is as follows: the A4 they built a new turret so put some thin Tungsten laminate on the front. The A5 they added the MEXAS passive. Its a box filled with a Styrofoam that is a certain Vickers (measurement of strength) & hull uses the old perforated plate. New armour they always fire the tanks own cannon at it.

ive seen these guys up close..and they are amazing tanks....they also use a IFV or APC that has tons of room in it..could carry at least eight troops and a crew of 3 or 4..ROK army uses good stuff except their K1 assault rifle..I hear its pretty shoddy

I think their are two types of tanks, ones designed to operated and sold to 90% of countries and then their are tanks that are designed purely for fighting in your own back yard and this is one of them... I'm really looking forward to the K2, it will defo be the best backyard tank (even better than the Merkava Mk4).

t-90 is basically the t-80 with modern targeting systems, better track system, and improved armor along with passive armor plates to reinforce the tank. so basically it's a modernized t-80

Us Brits fired our Rifled L55 against Dorchester - it survived and Korea fired their L55 at their Composite - it survived. Leo2 armour was developed when they used the L44.

I served along side the ROK army when I was in the 2nd ID in Korea and they are one bad ass army. To use a dog analogy the ROK Army is like a Pit Bull and the North Korean Army is like a little yapping dog.

It's ten tons lighter; it can mount a kickass 140mm gun; it has an autoloader, which cuts down crew size; it has a longer operational range; it uses a diesel engine, which means that you can take cover behind it without catching fire; it's more fuel-efficient; it has a higher power to weight ratio; it has better solid-state armor as well as ERA; it has more advanced anti-missile ECM; the list goes on.

lol i live in south korea...as of now the noth has nothing to match the firepower of the U.S. and the ROK Army. they still have outdated tanks and airplanes...like the mig..lol
