A WebLogic Server cluster consists of multiple WebLogic Server instances running simultaneously and working together to provide increased scalability and reliability.
A cluster appears to clients to be a single WebLogic Server instance. The server instances that constitute a cluster can run on the same machine, or be located on different machines. You can increase a cluster’s capacity by adding additional server instances to the cluster on an existing machine, or you can add machines to the cluster to host the incremental server instances.
Each server instance in a cluster must run the same version of WebLogic Server.

Hello Atul, so you need an extra administration Server for the another two application Server to build a cluster, what happens if the administration goes down? will the cluster still works ?

beluvinalex There will always be one and only one Admin Server is a domain. All clusters will be managed by same admin server inside a domain. If admin server goes down, managed servers or cluster will continue to work as normal (called managed server independence mode) it’s just that you won’t be able to make any changes to Cluster. Atul

What do you mean by host , that a cluster can have managed servers which can be under different hosts

Hello K21Academy , Is there any video advice me about how to config weblogic cluster . Now my point is install OS Solaris on two server : Server one(Marchin1) and Server two(Machin2) and both of server I install weblogic 11g, but I config admin server in Server one(Marchin1) and I need Server one control Server two(Machin2) and Server two(Machin2) run only Nodemanager... sorry if my question not clear ..I'm a beginer on weblogic. Thanks

How many managed servers can be accomodated in a Weblogic server and how many clusters at maximum can be created in Weblogic?

I think you can add N number of Managed Server under in Single Domain. Each Managed Server has JVM where you need to allocate Memory(Xmin and Xmax) values so you need to calculate JVM memory along with Host Memory.
