2 жыл бұрынUnboxing review of the KABAR, USN, MK-1 Knife. "Made in USA". This is a great Combat/Utility knife from KABAR,… located in Olean, New York. The 9.5” inches overall, United States Navy knife. 4” inch cutting edge, 1095 Cro-Van Carbon Steel. Razor Sharp. Stacked leather handle. Full “Rat-Tail Tang construction with a pinned pommel. Knife is 1/8” inch thick. Black rust resistant coating adds protection and Stealth by being non reflective. Thick Leather sheath. Sheath is made in Mexico.

My edc to lil town USA knife. Package, food, cord cutter for sure a forage knife! I love the sheath too! Legal size and an awesome pommel. Best sharpening and edge retention!

Leather handles are lacquered. I sand it off estwing hammers/ hatches. And soak in hot wax. Then buff to a shine.

I picked one of these up recently myself. Great knife. I had to get one so I have both of the Mark's lol. The Terava knives are 80CRV2 steel.

Yep. They say it’s an old school steel,… been around forever. Nicknamed: “Swedish Saw Steel”,… because it’s Tough as nails tool steel. - It’s really great steel. 80CRV2 that is. KABAR is usually 1095 Cro-Van. 👍🏻

I put a beezwax/olive oil blend on to give a slight tack/ grab to the leather. A slight touch of it or vegi oil to blade.

I used to use olive oil on my sheaths and blades but I had several of them start to get rust spots and green mold growing on the leather sheaths! Now I use Vaseline. It holds up and works great. No rust. No mold. Sometimes I will use GULF WAX,… it works good for me, also.
