Hi Students! Welcome to Doctors Adda247. I am Arshpreet Kaur, your Physics educator, and today I will discuss the NEET 2024 counseling and the ongoing paper leak case.
🗓️ NEET 2024 Counseling Update
It's been over a month since the NEET 2024 results were announced, but the counseling process hasn't started yet due to the pending final judgment on the paper leak case. The next court hearing is scheduled for July 18. As of now, there are no new active links for 2024 counseling on the MCC website.
🔍 Will NEET 2024 be Re-conducted?
There's a lot of uncertainty about whether NEET 2024 will be reconducted. The counseling process is expected to start in the third week, aligning with the Supreme Court's hearing date.
🎓 Counseling Process
- Students can change their seat preferences in the first and second rounds.
- It becomes difficult to make changes in the third round.
- For general category students with a score below 550, getting admission to a government medical college can be very challenging.
📝 Preparation for NEET 2025
If NEET 2024 is not reconducted, the competition for seats will be intense. Therefore, if you feel your scores are low, start preparing for NEET 2025. The NEET 2025 exam is scheduled for May 4, so there's not much time left.
