Today we are continuing on with our Habakkuk Bible Study With Me series in Habakkuk chapter two. In chapter one Habakkuk wrestles with the question of, if God is in control, why does so much evil exist in the world, and why does God not seem to be doing anything about it? He ends his complaint by telling God he will wait for an answer.
This is where we pick up in Habakkuk chapter two - with God's response. As we'll see, God does not directly answer Habakkuk's 'why' question, but instead affirms that justice will ultimately come. From this chapter we will learn practically how to hold onto what God has spoken even when we can't see it. We'll also be invited into Habakkuk's decision, which is our decision as well: will Habakkuk torment himself with the unanswered "why's" of life, or will he believe that God is fundamentally good, and choose to trust Him even when he doesn't understand?

I loved the verse you chose but my favorite verse for the past couple of years has been 2:14 "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea". That verse always stops me in my tracks!

Thank you for this! As a teen struggling with social anxiety, I always found it hard to concentrate on what was being said during my church’s bible study, so I unfortunately started to distance myself from them. It took me a while to find someone i liked listening to and who was easy to understand. When I came across your channel, i immediately fell in love with the format, execution, and overall good vibes. These videos are very helpful as I am not the best at studying the Bible as I am reading it. I am looking forward to watching these videos every Friday!

Habakkuk 2:20 because it really just helps us grasp the concept of Gods glory and power, how if we are ever even before Him we should keep silence as to revernce and fear before God and not idols

I just got my first Scribe Bible Journal in 2 days ago. I'm super excited to start using it! Although I think I'm going to wait till April so it lines up with the rest of the year (3 month journals, 1 for each quarter of the year, I have OCD about things like that). Is it refering to prisoners being freed? Why don't ppl of power repent towards the Creator instead of not only rejecting His commands but fight against it as well? Who can win against Yahweh?

This is not going to happen in Habakkuk's age? (14.56 min of your video) Correction... it happened during Habakkuk's time. 1) In Habakkuk 1:5, the LORD answers to Habakkuk.. "For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe even if you were told"...
