It is insane that criminals abduct hundreds of defenceless Nigerians of different age spectra yet, soldiers and policemen in the areas of the crimes are busy on the major roads creating useless roadblocks and extorting money from the persons that ply the roads.

The money that Senators and Rep members appropriate to cars should have been used to buy multiple choppers for security personnel to address the terrain. I recall back in the days when Lagos was experiencing security challenges. Then Col. Buba Marwa equipped the military with choppers, vehicles and telecom equipment. As soon as robbers strike, choppers are in the air tracking their every movement and Lagos eventually became a no-go area for crime. Technology is more advanced now. There are drones that are mounted with powerful surveillance cameras who can monitor the bandit. It appears the bandit are in league with government, hence there is no will to tackle them.

Leave the local Governments alone. They don't have autonomy or security apparatus under them. The state and federal government should do their job. If it is election or their family members that where kidnapped something would have been done by now.

My question is why can’t the people fight back? America has one of the best police forces in the world, so when a child is missing the community organizes to assist the police in searching for the missing child. All Nigerians do is to weep and wail waiting for their useless leaders.

Unfortunately majority of the rulers are Northerners.How did we get here.Seems there are collaborators amongst the citizens.
